Knicks · We need to have a conversation about our captain our champion Jalen Brunson (page 1)

The world needs to have this conversation… not only is JB a 1A. Brunson in my opinion is the best player in the nba. He is statistically the most clutch player of our time . Potential the most clutch player of all time.

If you got a pick of any player in the league to build a team around … he’s number one to build a team around … he has more 4th quarter points in the playoffs then anyone… there’s not another player that I’d want the ball in there hands with the game on the line .

He accomplished what a lot of guards that people view as superstars and hall of famers, never accomplished and that’s winning a championship.

Nash
Paul
Dame
Westbrook
Cade
Harden
I could keep going

JB over all those guys and I don’t even think it’s debatable.

Brunson is a 6’2” modern day Jordan and this is just the beginning. Now that we got this one in the bag I don’t doubt if we grab a few more chips with this crew .

Let’s go the captain is officially the King of New York! And the best guard in the NBA !

Knixkik @ 6/14/2026 12:41 PM
I’m glad he put all of these debates to rest. He’s the best 4th quarter player maybe in NBA history, so wherever people put him on the best players list, he is the guy you want to have the ball when it matters over any of the guys ahead of him.

He is one of the most clutch players of all time, probably top 3 in the history of the NBA.

He erased all of my fears of the Iverson scenario where a great scoring small guard takes a team far but not all the way.

It took a team to get it done with all of the starters pulling their weight, also something I was not certain of before the playoffs.

But everyone brought their best game so it wasn't a one-man show and Brunson proved to everyone he is the greatest closer in the NBA and it is not even close.

Jalen Brunson is now a legend and a NYC immortal. Thank you JB

He literally (ok, figuratively) put the team on his back last night to drag them over the finish line, in a closing game of the NBA Finals. Scored as much as the rest of the team combined. And not because they didn't get their chances, they just didn't deliver. He did.
I thought it would be interesting for someone other than JB to step up in the finals and deliver and win the Finals MVP but it wasn't even close.

To put this into perspective in a closing finals game the only other player to score 45 pts was the goat MJ.

More importantly the most ever by a Knick !

He is HIM buckle up guys I don’t think this is the only chip with this group! But as a life long fan I will bask in this glory !

If they keep feeding the pipeline, they could put together a run of multiple championships.

Guys like Deuce, Clarkson, Alvarado and perhaps even Shamet are the kinds of players you pick to fill the gaps.

But with Mo, Dadiet, McCullar and Kolek ready for playing time you can clear some guys out to make room for them in the rotation.

And then you keep stocking the end of the bench with more draftees and free agents.

If the FO plays their cards right, there is no reason the club can't get deeper and stronger over the next 3 seasons while the core is still in its prime.

A most unsual path to the top. He structured his contract so knicks could build.
How that all turns out will be interesting.
Some one called me the "Great Satan" today. (at least he gets one part right)
The other part might be if I could answer: what is the price of a mans soul?
Jalens? $113 Million. But rather than sell it, he gave it to the fans.

MVP when it counted!
He is rare air.

No I think we are a serious threat to repeat next season. Celtics are having serious internal issues with Brown plus Tatum is a gimp. Halliburton is a gimp in Indiana and they got screwed out of their top draft pick. Harden is a cancer in Cleveland and Giannis is going to the lakers.

Even if we lose Mitch and Shamet I think we get another C maybe Hartenstein. Huk could also develop. I love Diawara’s potential. Pretty sure Jose picks up his player option.

We have another 3 years in this window.
