Wasn't there a story about him hoping to get waived by Denver last year to join a Greek team? I wouldn't put all my hope into Valanciunas, but would very happily accept him.
Just enough room for two vets, maybe Sochan and Clarkson.
I’m guessing last 2 spots go to Clarkson and Looney. But they won’t sign Looney until they see if Valanciunas is available.
When are we signing Clarkson? We ain’t winning shit without him.

I support this message. Jordan Clarkson is the priest on this adventure over here
Guess we know why they bringing back Clarkson. Plus his defense.
Clarkson impressed me this year. Did not want him. But he had some good moments. Was more efficient than I expected. Was a complete professional the entire time, even when he dropped out of the rotation. And he improved him game, most noticably the defense later in the season.
For the vet min, we'd be fortunate to have him back. But we still need that C.

I loved how Clarkson adjusted throughout the season and always found ways to contribute as needed. It was a textbook evolution for a 34 year old vet to always do what was needed to add value to a championship. All players should take notes for how to be a winner.
My theory is Knicks are waiting on LeBron to make up his mind and if it's not NY they will sign up Jordan Clarkson and Sochan for the vet mins. and leave out a little bit and a roster spot to see what happens as the season goes on.
I don't get why some of you want to kill the vibes and culture with LeBum and disrupt the chemistry with someone like DeRozan, who has drama with Brown in Sacramento.

This FO is all about maintaining a stable locker room with no drama, something people pining for Lebron or any possibly disruptive presence conveniently brush aside.
For this reason alone, Lebron is not coming here, not to mention plenty of other reasons.

Man these are awesome contracts. Literally filled the rotation with perfect role players and a high-upside prospect for really cheap.

Relative value, I expect Mo to exceed his contract, Avocado, meh, to wear out his welcome, and Shamet to exceed his contract until he has another season ending injury.
If Mo Diawara is what I think he is, that is among the best contracts of all time. If he isn’t, it’s one of the best contracts of all time.

Agreed that kid has the total package. I hope he gets the burn he deserves, and takes the leap to greatness. He has all the intangibles is already a plus defender, that game he had where he locked Jalen brown up was epic.
I seriously think we shut Mo down so we could sign him … if he kept playing we would have been screwed .
Let’s hope nickel is a player as well!
