Bucks have to do the same thing to someone else that we did to them: Find a team willing to take on a headache for whatever reason, cap relief, FAFO, feeling lucky ........

Not sure if this is fake but……

Karl-Anthony Towns is following Jalen Brunson's lead.

In an appearance on the "Club Shay Shay" podcast, KAT said he was willing to take a $100M pay cut if it means keeping the Knicks core intact.

“If we can keep it all together. We all have to get in the room and say we’re going to do it," Towns said on taking a pay cut.

Jalen Brunson left ~$100M on the table when he signed with the Knicks in free agency, enabling the Knicks to put a championship core around him.

KAT is willing to do so as well,
As long as James Dolan is willing to bring the entire band back together.

I think this is a previous interview prior to him being traded to the Knicks. He was talking about Brunson’s situation. Still relevant. I think KAT would take less to stay.

Minn trying to move Randle and DDV for a star ? Someone like KAT for example maybe ? Still I think we end up with Donte via free agency next summer.

How do you think DDV feels about having been traded away last year? There seemed to be some bad feelings...

Pass on both.

Well he did try to fight Rick Brunson

More like they want to salary dump both. They’re hoping Lakers take on Randle.

Lebron is the coach Randle needs

Right? How nice would it be to pair Ant with another star player? They could be a perennial WCF team for sure

For what its worth for the plug and play fans:

If DDV was a knick and blew his achilles we'd likley not be celebrating. Of course the many details would exist like would the KAT trade have even happend, but for the simple plug in and play DDV got hurt.
The commercial of him being left by the other three is the harsh collatral sadness that exists. Small concelation thought: He does have a ring. The only caveat is he only played 3 games in the playoffs in 2021 as he torn some ligaments in his ankle.

KAT trade is starting to look like a legendary one in hindsight.

It really is. KAT is certainly a top 20 player and I don’t think Randle is top 50 at this point. Done and that 17th pick didn’t really offset that difference.

Allanfan20 @ 6/22/2026 11:17 AM
I love Ragu and I would welcome him back but what would his place be on the team? Is he replacing both Deuce AND Jose? If not, where is he getting minutes? If yes, is this something we really want to do?

I have absolutely zero interest in bringing back Randle. The truth is it was no secret I wanted him gone after year 1 with him and I still thought the KAT trade was a lateral move….. until the playoffs this year. We have zero use for him.

DLeethal @ 6/22/2026 11:41 AM
Donte post-achilles tear would make a ton of sense as a 6th man, in a world where both Deuce and Landry are no longer here. But we are a year away from that even being a consideration.

Right, unless he gets bought out and takes vet min after return.

Maybe but I think time heals all wounds.

Yes, but I'm just imagining being in his place. He's the #3 Nova guy. Knicks trade for the 4th Nova guy then trade DDV away, and go on to win the chip. That's a big "left out" feeling he must have experienced. Hopefully as you say, he can put it behind him and get back on the banana boat.

Julius reverted back to his mopey IDGAF about defense self in the playoffs this year and embarrassed his team.

His only value in the league at this point is as a placeholder for a team not expecting to be in contention in the next several years.

No team trying to build a championship squad would touch Randle now. They know he'll quit on them when they need him most. That's just who Randle is.

The Karl Anthony Towns that the Timberwolves traded away is NOT the same Karl Anthony Towns the Knicks got. Same thing for Andrew Wiggins. The Wiggins that the Warriors got was not the Wiggins that spent years frustrating the hell out of Minnesota.

I am a little hesitant on any "narrative" that indicates that the TWolves committed some kind of player development malpractice here. There were times in Minnesota that both Wiggins and KAT needed a good solid punch in the face for a course correction. Sometimes players need a chance of scenery, but sometimes things happen as you get older and you can't get away with being a prick anymore.

A concern with KAT for the Knicks is he's a bit of a "Front Runner" Meaning when times are good, you get the Good Times version of KAT. When times are bad, you aren't getting a guy like Brunson or Curry who will keep a team steady no matter what.

I loved Donte D as a Knick. I hope they get him back as a bargain free agent in the 27-28 season. I'm just glad Randle is gone.

^

Here's a video of people with the same tiresome "bitch made" attitude that Randle brought with him all the time. The exact same entitled mental midget type barrage of nothing but bile and chaos. There's a reason why the Lakers and Pelicans were happy to just let Randle walk away for nothing in return.

KAT at his full potential is a truly game changing player. But let's see if his current maturity holds. The TWolves dumping him was mostly about money but it wasn't just all about money.

But anything to get Randle off the Knicks roster looks palatable in comparison. Words cannot express how glad I was to see Randle GTFO of New York for good.
