Brings you so many more skills than Mitch at 25% of the cost

It's like what someone was saying earlier. Mitch is very one dimensional but elite at it. And we could get someone who isn't quite as amazing at one thing but makes up for it in other areas

The reason the Celtics got him are probably because Mitch is the best at generating second chances for his team. They spam threes so it could work for them, but I'm expecting them to overestimate Mitch's ability to stay on the floor and overplay him. He's not built for starter minutes.

Outside of that uniquely elite ability and some defensive range, we are mostly a plus with Drummond now.

Andre will also get us second chances, just a few less than Mitch would have, and close to the same amount of boards overall.

Now that we have our backup Center I don't have to post this any longer:

Ooops, I just did. Oh well

I worry Jonas would be this year's Brogdan. Hope we're keeping Nick Richards on the radar as well.

Jalen, KAT and Diawara shot 37% during the regular season.

I’m sure they are all in the same class. Somehow.

So we just basically upgraded from Mitch for a fraction of the cost. Lol

Basically, though the Billy Ray Cyrus mix tapes and brass Copenhagen spitoons are going to be hard to replace

We’ll see how this shakes out. Way too slow for my taste but decent value. Hopefully we get someone w quicker feet too

Mitch I wish the best but the inability to work on his game was unacceptable. Andre developed A3 point shot after like 10+ years in the league. Because it's a thing nowadays. Much props

Crossing my fingers McCullar is still part of the plan

He is the last of the unsigned players I strongly feel we need to bring back

I think you are I are the only 2 people that wanna see McCullar full time.

Only Deuce extending will seal that fate.

Drummond can do much of what Mitch did well for us. Screen setting, rolling, ORB dominance. He doesn’t have the defensive chops that Mitch does, but frankly Mitch’s defense has not been elite in awhile. Solid value signing to plug the Mitch gap and sounds like we might get Valencunis so we’d be much better in the depth department. Rim protection will be an Achilles heel for us but this team figured out how to defend at an elite level with Towns at the 5 so I see no reason why we’d see a dropoff when Drummond is in the game.
ramtour420 @ 7/3/2026 8:28 PM
Um, he is a former 2 times All-star, 4 times has led the NBA in rebounding, and was All-NBA once in his prime.

This kind of reminds me of losing DDV and getting Shamet. A bargain value play who can nearly replace the guy who left. Would not be shocked in the least if Drummond ends up having a comparable season to Mitch.

Sign Sochan as small ball 5, sign Jordan Clarkson. Call it a day.

Yeah good analogy

I like the 7 months framing

DLeethal @ 7/3/2026 8:34 PM
I think part of our championship pedigree was the death defense lineup we could roll out in nail biter games for offense/defense subs. Deuce-Shamet-Bridges-OG-Mitch. I’d still like a guy we could plug in there at the 5. Not sure Drummond or JV are those guys. Maybe Sohan.

Someone get Drummond on a 3 month p90x workout and get this version back

martin @ 7/3/2026 8:35 PM
Extend him already

We of fine, upstanding stock hold firm to our commitment to sustaining the Kolek and McCullar lineages

I believe both Jose and Tyler will be better off paired with a player like McCullar, but in addition I also believe in Kev's ability to run the 2nd unit himself

Really believe in McCullar. There may be two slots to fill, praying one is being held for him

Key thing is they did not put him on the SL roster, but neither is Kolek. The only 3rd year is Dadiet.

I'm guessing they already know who Tyler and Kev are and they are weighing their options on Dadiet.

But I could be dead wrong and they are done with McCullar. So far, no news about him which I take as a good sign

Right, and Sochan in that spot is maybe even better because it allows the Knicks to switch 1-5

I'm sorry, was that Sheed on the sidelines during those highlights?!
