A little premature... possibly...

Love Mitch and OAKAK and all but DAMN in his first 12 min Drummond looks like an UPGRADE at backup C... really solid on D... I underestimated his ability to stick even with guards on the PnR for a moment...
Rebounding... we knew its his calling card, but his offensive impact is just sooo much broader than Mitchs!
He was absolutely impressive 12 and 14. Definitely looks like he lost weight.

Never a doubt, right?
Hoping the ability to finish last night was an aberration. Don't remember him being viewed as a bad finisher. Also suprised he looked scared to pull the trigger on the 3 even though 76ers were sagging way off him daring him to shoot it at times.
All in all having his name chanted at MSG had to be a surreal moment growing up a Knicks fan.

Embiid blocked him 3 times I think. His lift at the rim is not great when talking about dunking the ball.
His lift doesn't impact his rebounding much which was excellent.
He's not as huge as Mitch who had a crazy wingspan so he won't get as many ball tips in the scrum to keep plays alive.
But he will get position and board at a high level.
Drummond's picks and screens need to be better than game one, but his court awareness, ground coverage and defense were all very good last night.
He will be a better scorer than Mitch, will probably shoot free throws slightly better, and should have a similar ability to get offensive and defensive boards. However, the overall defense is a big step down in terms of intimidation at the rim. Drummond did look engaged on defense and he was a great find once Mitch left but we have to accept he is not at the same level as Mitch in terms of his impact on defense. Hopefully the team can compensate.
Not really Brown's style, but he could play with sliding Drummond to the 4 with Wiseman at the 5 for spot mins. Drummond is a solid enough spot up 3pt shooter to pull that off.

Doesn't look like an aberration. It's the way his shooting at the rim has been trending the last few years. It seems like he doesn't finish as well over contests. But he's old now.itsbto be expected.😏

Gotcha
Drummund on a min contract is a great value if he can remain healthy.
We lose Robinson defensive presence in the paint but gain a more polished offensive center. I would have liked to have seen Brown play Wiseman a few minutes. I feel Drummond lost his legs in the second half and playing Wiseman may have helped.
plus....I envision a future lineup of both Drummond and KAT on the floor together. If that would happen, Wiseman needs to be ready to provide some relief.

Theoretically they could do that and it’s a very long season so maybe they will but it would be bad for spacing
