I don't know why Prime added another point for us, but NBA still showing us down 101-98
0-2 for the first time since 2021. Tatum was spectacular.

Had chances but give Tatum credit. He made 3 big shots. Hart played him well and forced him into tough shots and also made a tough 3 over KAT.
Deuce was great! Cap got going a little late in the game and Hart made a big 3 too
KAT did his thing and OG was better. Mikal is in an early season funk. We haven't been sharp as a team but it's super early. The turnovers and transition defense needs work.

Champion hangover another game where we beat ourselves… if we played with full intensity in the first 3 quarters like we did in the 4th we would have easily won the game .
Bridges looks awful, like he just partied all summer .
He better turn it around, or why is McBride coming off the bench … McBride played great on both ends of the floor …
He fits the starting unit better then bridges…
I think bridges should come off the bench he falls asleep in the starting lineup . Maybe coming off the bench as a top scorer in the second unit would get him going.
But it’s a long season not worried one bit. We know what this team can be come playoff time .

I really think this starting unit is missing a lights out 3 point shooter, and that is McBride .
Bridges is the most frustrating player to watch … when he’s great he looks like an all star … when he’s off he looks like a fringe nba player …
Kinda like that we are 0-2 it’s a wake up call, and it’s not getting any easier Detroit next .
Championship hangover against 2 good teams. I do agree that Mikel is frustrating and maybe the answer to avoiding the second apron is simply moving him. His replacement is Shamet/ Deuce/ Diawara. Just make it work with committee 2-way shooters. It will be fine.
Not a surprising slow start. If you forced me to pick how the season would start - deep down I’d say it was probably gonna be ugly. Preseason kind of forecasted this. They will eventually erase it with a nice winning streak I’m sure. I feel we were under .500 for first 6 games or so of about every season in recent memory.
Bridges, OG, Brunson have all been bad and we’re still in there with top east teams til the end. Eventually it’ll start clicking. Team is getting an extended pass from me before I start complaining. I can prob even stomach a sub 50 win season this year as long as they turn it on at the right time.
The no JB no KAT mins have been terrible though. I get trying to reward OG and Mikal with more responsibility but need to pivot back soon if they can’t handle it.
Doesn’t look like this team can afford to lose Deuce’s shooting at all.
And they need a big man to help with KAT’s nonsensical foul trouble.
We’ve seen this team enough to know that regular season dominance is not gonna be their M-O. They lost by 40 to Detroit like 3x last year and had a 2-8 stretch. Now that they won a championship that might even get worse now if they feel like they can turn it on when they need to. I don’t think this team fears being a lower seed or winning playoff games on the road. That kind of mentality can lead to a rocky regular season.

It’s always been missing something. It seems they all have a “feel out the game” mentality, like a fighter who just circles around for the first round to figure out the opponent. It leads to nobody getting going in every first quarter. Been this way for years. It does seem like a gunslinger type is what they need. The KAT hub stuff seemed to work to get them going early in the playoffs. It doesn’t seem like it’s going to fool everyone this year though.

Fringe NBA player? He looks like that Gleague you had to call up one time because you gutted your tram on an all for an allstar type of trade.
You can’t take him out of that championship team and when he is on, its just a cheat code on both ends. But man, he makes feast or famine blush.
I hate the fact that we look good for how bad some players have started, because its still a 0/2 start and that sucks a bit. Yeah, the championship gives you some leeway, but we know how storylines can quickly build up.
This team is playing with their food while everyone has a target on them. They need to start taking it seriously again, especially Mikal. I hate his disappearing acts because its more like he is player number 6 for the other team. For a guy proud of his ironman streak, he should start one about decent games. Ha has even a mediocre game and we win.
