Now that's LOL!!

as the trading season approaches I would rather have Vin/Moochie's expiring deals to package with some of our overrated young talent to make a trade.

rvhoss @ 1/22/2006 2:31 PM
today our young talent is overrated...slowly your knick fan cred' is going out the window.

I couldn't resist since he posts nonstop about me supposedly bookmarking threads.

IT still sucks, and even if Taylor maxes out at being the useful scoring big of the bench ala the big nasty, the trade was still dumb.
FireIsiah @ 1/22/2006 7:04 PM
"Mo Taylor is unstopable in practice" stated Patrick Ewing, so Isiah went out and got this bum.
BRIGGS @ 1/24/2006 9:20 PM
this trade is fcn horrible. we paid essentially 20mm$ next year to have Mo Taylor as a bench player next year AND gave away the 33 or 34 pick in the draft as well. this trade is exactly what is wrong with the knicks. we took a guy who can score in some games, others he is invisible and gave up ending contracts and took on huge financial commitment to do so.

IS Mo taylor worth 9mm this year? No Is he worth 20mm next year,,,,, no

this is what is wromng with this team look at money spent on guys our gM has acquired this just puts it in BOLD
djsunyc @ 1/24/2006 9:29 PM
there has not been one second since the trade was announced where i thought it was a good trade.

DIS-GUS-TING.

mo taylor + jerome james will cost this team $32 million next year b/c of the luxury tax.
we got no young players with them. we didn't get any picks. isiah just went after these guys AND we gave up a pick in the process.

YIKES.
islesfan @ 1/24/2006 10:11 PM
What are you guys talking about. It was a rebuilding move. Everyone knows that acquiring overpriced veterans is how you rebuild a team. And getting rid of that pick was just icing on the cake. Plus, who needs to use the MLE to sign young talented players who could become important parts of a rebuilding team when you can use it on 30+ yr old rejects. And who wants potential lottery picks when...oh forget it, we're so ****ed now.

Ha ha- you're on page 2, with this particular pearl:

all those trades layden made set us back for years, Isiah hasn't made on bad longterm mistake so far. even Marbury is still young and plays every game and produces

You were speaking for both of us back then- felt I didn't need to add anything at the time!

gunsnewing @ 9/5/2013 5:24 PM
Ugh
gunsnewing @ 9/5/2013 5:25 PM
No wonder I'm so jaded now
