hey does anyone know a website that has great deals on buying new bballs??? im looking for a new nba game ball... thxs
Knixkik @ 4/8/2002 9:05 PM
Eastbay recently had some really good deals on Wilson Jet balls, but i'm not sure if they're still available. I'm talking 60 dollar balls for 20 bucks, but they have been selling out fast. it's worth a try though.
BigSm00th @ 4/8/2002 10:24 PM
anacondasports.com has 'the Rock' balls that are used in a bunch of different leagues, not the NBA though. I have the Infusion ball which I love, you just have to break it in. After a week its a gem, and you don't have to worry about air with the pump, I recommend that.
killacross @ 4/8/2002 10:49 PM
thx guys

pointlessly bumping the best of pointless posts.

Hopefully for the haters that are actually the best, most knowledgeable fans, this gets me banned.

The Infusion Ball. Now known as NeverFlat. <-- word to live by. Gotta love that rebranding thing.

just buy $5 rubber balls and replace them when they are worn,

it'll last you at least a month, at least, and at 12 months that's $60 bucks a year versus a fucking $50 spalding banger that will become worn and then you will hang on to it way too long, when it's worn and ugly, because of the high up-front.

fuck outta here

jrodmc @ 9/12/2014 8:32 AM
I know I shouldn't respond, but...

Spalding is the game ball. You keep things like that. And the difference is, a ****ing $50 Spalding or ****ing Wilson ball will still be useable all worn 10 years later (I have about 5 of them), while you're $5 rubber ball isn't something your dog would even want to play with.

People must laugh at you and your rubber balls on the court, IWG.

IronWillGiroud @ 9/12/2014 10:05 PM
maybe they laugh,

until i glide past them on the way to the hole for a thunderous lay-in

then there is no laughter among the players on that court, on that day.

IronWillGiroud @ 9/13/2014 2:57 PM
what happens if you lose your basketball?

have you ever left your ball at the park?

then you're out of a $50 spalding, but if you have the rubber you're down $5 bucks and on to the next one

jrodmc @ 9/15/2014 8:44 AM
Basketballs are normally large, brown and/or orange things. Normally, they're fairly easy to keep track of.

If you have trouble keeping track of your own ball, you might have larger problems than being out $50.

Work on focus.

IronWillGiroud @ 9/15/2014 8:26 PM
aha!

you ain't a baller, jrod, not a real one!

anyone who's anyone on the bricks has forgotten/lost/had a ball stolen while playing pick-up at the park,

jrodmc @ 9/16/2014 10:55 AM
lose your keys and kicks too at the bricks, Dr. J?
Stop for second. You are touting stupidity as a badge of ballerhood.

You ballers have a lot in common with 8 year olds who lose baseballs and soccer balls.

In the meantime, they've just recently invented these things called Sharpie markers.
Try writing your name on your $5 rubber ball. Or something catchy, like THIS BALLER LIKES HEAVY CREAM or I SQUAT ON MY BALLS

Both of you get back to work or you're fired!
jrodmc @ 2/10/2015 9:22 AM
I just purchased two more Wilson NCAA's for $26 total!
Walmart truly holds the key to the universe.

I am the coolest brick baller on the eastern seaboard. Wait, that don't sound right...

Most things don't.
