but seriously, at the end of the day, does it matter? sure it would be nice to beat the redsox but we play each other 50 times a season. it only matters in october so we'll reconvene then. so far, it has been yankees 400, boston 1 in the postseason. good for you. now you guys have nothing else to cheer for now that the "curse" is over hence the mystique...

Speaking of which, my sister pointed out a t-shirt to me the other day.
On the front it said, "There was no curse"
On the back, it said, "Nope, the Red Sox just sucked for 86 years. Reverse that!"

I'm going to buy it in a couple days.

Let me tell you something. The only reason you even try to mess with us Yankee fans is because we are down 9-1 in the fourth inning. Are you kidding me? We all know the Yankee's picthing is subpar. Tim Redding was just called up from the minor leagues. Isn't this his first game in the Majors? The Red Sox are a good team with great hitters and good pitching. The Yankees are a good team with great hitters as well but so-so pitching, but hey, give me a seven game series in the fall and Red Sox will be going home while the Yankees play in the World Series.

in typical Red Sux fan fashion, you revel in beating up on journey man castoffs that were put in as emergency starters...last night the Yankees beat up on your Savior...big difference.

in further typical Red Sux fan fashion, you call yourselves a dynasty after winning 1 world series in 87 years...you guys are always good for a laugh.

Will Red Sox fans really be that proud of a victory tonight in which we had to call a scrub up since we have no pitchers healthy in our starting rotation other than Mussina and Randy Johnson? Come on, its Redding, its not like we sent Randy out there tonight.

the difference between the Red Sux superstar & the Yankees superstar:

Manny making $20 million a year & loafs it out of the box watching the flight of the ball he hit get caught in CF with his team leading 12-1

Jeter making $18 million a year hits a grounder towards the left of SS & hustles it out of the box to try & beat out the throw from Renteria with his team losing 12-1

this is why the Red Sox will NEVER be anything close to the type of class organization the Yankees have been over the past century...what a disgrace.

Quite possibly the greatest Yankee come back thread of all time.

replace yankees with knicks and this may very well be the year I have a cardiac arrest reading these posts.

I love new york...I love new york sports...but more specifically, I love new york sports fans.

I'm right here (and I didn't gloat last night). I'll give you the Pats - that's a Dynasty. One in a row is not a Dynasty.

And to be honest the Yanks have not been very good this year - but doesn't that make you wonder why your Dynastic team is only 2 1/2 games ahead. If your honest you know neither of these teams have shown enough to win and unless they get their pitching staffs together neither is going to win this year.

$150 million dollar payroll, & they have their gimpy 42 year old starting pitcher getting BOMBED & blowing saves in the 9th inning...nice team you got there.

Maybe it's different with me than everyone else, but the past I enjoyed the most was watching Mariano Rivera OWN Damon, Renteria and Ortiz in that 9th inning with 3 orgasmic strikeouts.

The Red Sox have Rivera figured out my ars. OK, I'll give you Bill Mueller, but hey, if Mueller can figure out Rivera, than Rivera can CERTAINLY figure out Mueller.
