i usually do not write about music on this forum but someone brought this topic up before. i got the cd yesterday and was amazed. i do not see any flaws but there are tracks that are beyond the others. you need to listen to it a second time to really appreciate almost every song. this is something because i am into hip hop from the golden era ( any rakim and tribe called quest would suit me fine). the stellar tracks for me are " touch the sky", "addiction", the bonus track ( i think it is called late) and the masterpeice " roses". thoroughly recommend this to any one who loves music period not just hip hop.
Kanye is a genius.
Check out my man Talib Kweli too.....I love that dudes music.
ye i like kanye also but im not into the religous music its good too but im not like w.e its not my style i like more into the other hip hop like east coast rappers mostly
That new Kanye album was hot. The leaked advance was just as good, although almost none of those songs made it onto the released album.

I just love how Kanye isn't afraid to be real. He is a throw back but keeps it fresh. He is witty with his lyrics. There is no one out there doing what he does. He is a breath of fresh air from all this "Crunk" and downsouth gutter music.
Music that is good for your soul man. You gotta respect it.
my only question is, what happened to the song bittersweet with john mayer that was so hyped? The only disappointment was that not being on it.

i like talib kweli but his last album was a disappointment. the same with mos def.
There are some good cuts on this album but it recycles the same old themes--nothing genius about it unless saying that diamonds from sierra leone are bad merits genius status. My favorite chorus is from "We Major": "...I take a sip of that yak I wanna fcuk, I take a hit of that chronic it got me stuck..." brilliant. Seriously, I think the best tracks are Diamonds and Hey Mama.

Kanye's best track on the album was the hidden track named "Late" IMO. That song's a banger.
does anyone know why the advance stuff wasn't released on this album? I heard that Kanye is planning to do 2 more albums with the 'College Theme' to complete a 4-album 'College Series'
The best song i think is Heard 'Em Say with Adam Levine, but Bittersweet would be the best song and i still don't know why it's not on the album. Does anyone else know?
