The Nets are close to completing their roster for this season.

Lamond Murray, cut by the Raptors on Friday, will be given a one-year deal for the veteran's minimum ($1.138 million) from the Nets once he clears waivers and passes his physical, according to league sources.

They are upgrading the quality of the team overall...Wright, Murray, Padgett off the bench is very good...

I think we can beat the Nets for the division.

I live Murrays game and he is in basketball shape, he just wasn't getting the time in Toronto when he came back off injury.

Dude can play. But can he play power fwd? He's big enough. His three point shot will stretch that defense.

Every time I think of that, it makes me want to vomit my whole gastrointestinal system out.

As for Murray, LOL another patch! Briggs, you hit it on the head, they need size, not another gunner.

They are just signing these guys to fill out the roster. Its better than what they did last season with Rodney Buford and Jabari Smith. Lamond Murray is a legit NBA player unlike those two CBAers. I laughed my ass out when I heard they signed Buford.

They are actually putting together a solid team. They need size but they also need shooters. I think they were somewhere around 29th in FG% last year. Padgett and Murray will definetly help in that category. I would be shocked if Murray gets more than 5 minutes a game though. These guys are going to get a ton of open jumpers with Carter and Kidd taking it to the basket.

Having bigs that can shoot will spread the D and open up lanes for their smaller slashers like Vince and RJ

Why don't we have any bigs that can do that? Oh wait, we traded KT away
