you mean he got slim quick. he's lost a ton of weight. his arms look small. first - lose the weight/fat. then put on the muscle.

i think we need to put a cease and desist on all things bynum related.
any lawyers out there? i would've drafted bynum over frye but that's here nor there. no gloating, no eating crow, no nothing. we took frye - case closed. let's move on please.

btw, from what LB said in his press conference, how we didn't have 18-19 year olds with potential but players that played in college and are coached to win as a team, well doesn't that just make you think that he had a little bit of say in who we drafted? this was in the works for a while, imho. he was the next knicks head coach and they knew it back in june. so he probably advised isiah to go with frye over bynum.

Man, you better have some proof before you make such hard statements. This conspiricy thing could land you in a heap of trouble! Check at night if a "cable" truck is parked outside! They might be watching you! Listening to you! I'd hate to see you that you suddenly "disapeared" one day. LOL

Actually, THe "character" thing is a page from Dolans book also. I think Isiah does not want immature boys on the team. I recall his speach last year to the incoming rookie class and he laid into them pretty good about discipline, respect and the privilige it is to do what they do for the money they make.

Part of the failure of some of these teens are a product of physical imaturity (livingston), Mental developement (kwame), and the pressure to handle a full time job and be prepared year round as a professional.

Its important that the guys you draft have the ability to improve, but also the internal capcity to do what is necessary. NOt that Bynum did not have it, but Channing is a well rounded guy and has a body type that can suceed. HE might not be a star, but can be part of a strong foundation.

He did get slim quick, but now he has put on significant muscularity into his arms and shoulders. His whole frame looks really good--remember this was a big kid with a lot of baby fat and no muscle tone 6 months ago. He doesnt even look 17 anymore. On the Laker message board, they said he works out with Kobe Bryant every morning lifting weights and that he grew a half inch this summer. So not only has his frame become quite mature quickly, he's on a nice pace sprouting wise. I think your looking at a guy who will end up around 7-2 1/2 or so and is a willing hard worker

Take a look at the draft board from next year and ask yourself--do you think this kid would go number 1 next year if he was in school? I mean I follow Uconn hoop a closely as anyone else, an I think Andrew is a better prospect that Boone or Gay. He would dwarf Boone right now, hes 3 inches taller and 40 pounds heavier and actually right now looks much more muscular.

hence the "imho" - that clears me of all conpsiricy type crimes.

but don't tell me joe didn't call up isiah and said "hey man, lb is as good as gone here, you should talk to him". and then both he and isiah didn't call up their boy bill and say "hey man, i'll put you in the coaching picture so you're stock gets pumped up a little bit and then you bow out so we could sign lb".

conspiracy?!?! I THINK NOT!!!.....IMHO

EnySpree @ 9/30/2005 10:24 AM

I have nothing against the gay community.......

But even the gayest mofo would be calling for Channing to come out the closet off of this picture.

Silverfuel @ 9/30/2005 11:11 AM
What is Channing Frye doing?

ummmmmmmmm . . . . .

we can only hope he's showing his pride in the NEW YORK name. this is how they do it in arizona. yeah, that's it. it's like some kind of arizona thing. i'm sure richard jefferson does this kind of thing all the freakin' time.

fishmike @ 9/30/2005 11:27 AM
personally I like the background. Its really pretty
MS @ 9/30/2005 11:38 AM
Frye is really going to suck, look at the kid he has the body of a high school center, and we are expecting big things out of him, I would have went green, granger or brynum because each has a chance to be something special

Frye has a shane battier type of ceiling without the consistent play in college, he looks like a soft pussy
rvhoss @ 9/30/2005 11:43 AM
battier is pretty good.
LongIslandKnicksFan @ 9/30/2005 11:44 AM
Well, I think we all know why Isiah picked him. He went the easy route with picking a four year graduate who played ball for four years in college who had experience to help the team start winning in the near future. I can see him playing similar to Camby.
