NBA · Kamla predicts Warrick for ROY (page 1)

Bonn1997 @ 10/14/2005 11:06 PM
He said that during the Griz/Heat preseason game

I'm a Syracuse guy and love Warrick. But the one game I saw him play this summer in Los Angeles, he was a mess. He still lacks the ability to knock down the outside shot on a consistent basis or aviod turning into the double team when trying to create with the dribble. He's an awesome athlete and when he gets the ball in good position, can be a force. The problem is, until he beefs up a bit more he won't be able to establish the position that he needs to be successful. I like the guy and think he'll be solid, just not yet. No ROY for Warrick, in my opinion.

Warrick for ROY? I dought that!
sbensol74 @ 10/15/2005 12:45 AM
I'm a cuse guy too and if Hak puts on some weight and works on his traveling problems he just might win ROY

It's spelled "doubt", Solace. But I'm a foreigner, what the fuck do I know...

It's an inside joke. There's this poster from YES called GehrigsGhost who types like that.

My grammar is usually pretty good. Just ask Bip.

this is a really solid rookie class
Nalod @ 10/15/2005 9:41 AM
Who is "KAMLA"?
anklebraker @ 10/15/2005 9:54 AM
I think if warrick got the time I would say he would make all rookie team

Who is "KAMLA"?
Rick Kamla. The NBAtv announcer and fantasy basketball guy. Did I spell his name wrong?

daddynel @ 10/15/2005 4:18 PM
kamla can stick to fantasy b-ball. nate the great will have those honors this year, along w/the slam dunk championship.

ROY with 15 mins a game?? He will be good but let's not get carried away

I saw the replay of the game. In all fairness, Kamla first said he'd be ROY but then took some time to think it over and said he'd be a ROY "candidate." Warrick looked very good in the first half of the game.

There are lots of rookies who'll have opportunities to excel. From my standpoint, Warrick seems to be in direct competition with Shane Battier for minutes at the forward positions, so I'd say he's got a good chance to get 25-32mpg.
