Biendrins got hurt, and he stepped in and had 4 pts 4 reb 3 blocks in 17 minutes. Thats why all the teams who passed on him may regret it. Maybe he wont be great, but he can play 5 at 6-10 260 he can block shots with his big body and he does have skills.

This is a long way from a guy that was projected to be top 3 in last season's draft class and top 5 the year before.

some times projections are pure malarchy. taft has been impressive. he was disruptive in the lane against us, played within himself and hit his shots. the guy is 6-10 260 and 20 years old. I didnt see any loafing, i saw a guy trying hard, running the floor and helping a good deal on D. It will help him that Baron is the PG. its very hard to fully evaluate a big that early in his career. he really does have a great body for basketball and skills--if he keeps his head into it, he'll make a lOT of money at some point
It looks like the guy also lost a lot of weight, no? I remember him being kinda chubby when I watched him in college and no, he didn't look like he was loafing. He played impressive. He just looks like he needs to learn body positioning and stuff when grabbing rebounds and blocking shots. Typical stuff that a young big needs to learn. It will come to him if he keeps up the good work. Good job on his part losing that weight too.
