Report: Kobe To Change To 24

ESPN - After 10 seasons of wearing the #8 Lakers' jersey, it is being reported by Darren Rovell of ESPN that the Lakers have informed the league that Kobe Bryant will wear the number 24 next year. 24 was the number worn by Bryant for part of his high school career, until he changed it to 33 to honor his father, Joe "Jellybean" Bryant.

This past season, Bryant's jersey was the fourth-highest selling jersey in the league, up from fifth a year ago. [READ]

He's trying to say he is the next level of MJ, not 23, but 24. I'm almost sure of it.

Oh God, next MJ, bla bla bla. Have your own identity. I hate how LeBron chose exactly 23.

exactly... he'll be back to #8 in a couple seasons... this is just like MJ when he went to #45 for a little while after his 1st comeback.
