No details yet but reported on RealGm.
Atleast I don't have to worry about Isiah adding a player who doesn't play any defense.
Googling produced no hits.
Just saw it on realgm.
I gotta say this news is equal to a really good piss. I mean driving on a highway, looking for a rest stop, should have went before I left the house, stuck in traffic type of piss!
Personally, I'm kind of glad we didn't land him.
They are citing a radio station out in Indianapolis. I don't think there is a print source. I heard it was gonna be some combination of players including Jeff Foster going to Atlanta.
I am glad we did not get him. He cannot play defense on the Lebron James of the world and other NY players can duplicate his offense. We need to be using that PT to see if Woods or Balkman can develop into a starting caliber SF on both ends of the court.
who "can" play defense on the lebron James of the world and are they available?
Al Harrington is like the most overrated player in the league outside of Stromile Swift.
the mere fact that you equate Al Harrington to Stromile Swift's level tells me he's probably 1 of the most UNDERrated players in the league.
Harrington makes no sense for this team anyway.
Indiana is stockpiling talent though - I have to say, though, their roster as is makes no sense.
how does Al make no sense for this team. He is a young small forward who can run and can score. He almost avg 2 stls a game im pretty sure and he get blocks too. I would have loved to have this guy on our team.

Not to speak for Crzy, but they have a lot of players now, who do alot of the same things. Harrington (SF, PF), Granger (SF, PF), Shawne Williams (sf, PF), Daniels (SF, SG), White (SG, SF), Jackson (SF, SG).
They have a lot of interchangable parts, but I suspect Bird aint done wheeling and dealing.
i like Harrington too, but I think the "makes no roster sense" sentiment comes from the fact that thier last 2 # 1 picks were small forwards & while I think Shawne Williams will be a major bust, Danny Granger is outstanding.

I say to myself all the time that these GM guys have no clue what they are doing.
How many small fwds does Indiana need? I guess we'll find out soon. I still say Stephan jax is gone sooner or later.
How long has bird been president/GM of the pacers? He' get's the pass, zeke doing the exact same thing here, stockpiling talent and it's a man with no plan.
with the CBA, salary must match in all trades, so any addition to the salary is within the CBA.
just showing a quote in context.

I'm pretty sure you've got him confused with someone else.
He is a young small forward
He's entering his 9th season.
He almost avg 2 stls a game
0.92 to be exact
he get blocks too.
0.20 per game
He's more like a less talented Antoine Walker (without the retarded dance movements on the court)
Al Harrington can play. Don't know why some say he can't. Strange him going back to Indy. Carlisle and Bird still like him. That says a lot. He went for the cash and the minutes but now sees the grass ain't always greener on the other side. Productive player who can guard 3/4's. What's not to like?
he's like a less talented Qyntel Woods.

long enough to get the Pacers out of the first round
Im dont think realgm is sure that harrington was really traded to the pacers anymore.
