NBA · Al Harrington traded to Pacers (page 2)

Im dont think realgm is sure that harrington was really traded to the pacers anymore.

Not to speak for Crzy, but they have a lot of players now, who do alot of the same things. Harrington (SF, PF), Granger (SF, PF), Shawne Williams (sf, PF), Daniels (SF, SG), White (SG, SF), Jackson (SF, SG).

They have a lot of interchangable parts, but I suspect Bird aint done wheeling and dealing.

Not for nothing, I could really see them making a play for Jamaal Magloire.

Tinsley and Granger for Magloire might make some sense for both teams.

I definitely wouldn't give up Granger for Magloire. Magloire's barely better than Nazr

Truthfully, I agree... Granger has got a lot of potential; but this is a league deprived of "decent big men @ center" Magloire was a beast at one point, and was an allstar if i'm not mistaken... Moreover, a move like this allows the Pacers to move J O'neal to PF his natural position.; They might just be willing to overpay for a center for that reason alone!

If not Granger than maybe Shawne Williams.. I'd think that the Bucks organization would ask for a little more than just he and Tinsley though.

Magloire
Oneal
Harrington
Jackson
Johnson

He was an all-star but was far from a beast. He was in a terrible conference where Kurt Thomas was his fiercest rival for the backup all-star spot.

But you also don't need a big man at center

How long has bird been president/GM of the pacers?

long enough to get the Pacers out of the first round

Bird has earned a couple of bumps. I think he messed things up over the last couple of years but who knows. It still depends on JO. Al is a medicore player, well atleast he was in Atlanta.

As if they wouldn't have gotten out of the first round in subsequent years if Isiah had stayed.

Once big Al is somewhere else, we can work on Jermaine O'neil to Isiah love knicks, or the annual "I love Lamar Oh-Dumb" bring him to home to NY love rumor.

My favorite is that being back home will increase his IQ~!

Look at what it did for Coneybury!

who knows? all we can work with is what did happen.

2 years running the team experienced more success under Carlisdle than they did under Isiah.
61 wins and the ECF's Carlisle's first year made the Isiah firing justifiable. 2nd year amids the Palace Brawl fall-out they still one 40+ games and made the 2nd round beating Boston in 7 as the road team. 3rd year O' Neal showed that perhaps Artest was right as he sunk Indy with him (then subsequently revived Sac after the trade).
