So it is nothing to do with Dolan?
Just saw the second NY Rangers preseason game.
Very impressive.
Added a lot of good veterans and they hove young players for 2 teams.
The couch and players on one page and half of the team was on the camp 10 days before start day.
Great example for Knicks in the Garden.
If Knicks will not put it together it will be double shame.
Can black guys of NY Knicks be at the same level of passion and desire as white guys on NY Rangers (lets put Lee and goalie Weeks aside)?
Is it all money? Do they have some proud?

Dude, wtf are you talking about with the "black guys of the Knicks" and the "white guys of the Rangers" You have some serious problems.

Why you guys have a problem with color thing?
Its a nice competition with black (OK - African Amrican) and white (Ok - Coucosian (or what the hell the political correct freaks calling this)) dominated sports.
Looks like you have a problem with this guys. Not me.
We are all different by rase, nations, gender, character. Its great.

NHL has a hard salary cap now. Did the Rangers a big favor! Can't starphuch anymore. No team can. there are few stars in the NHL.

Sounds like your saying that black gazzilionair players are not as hard working as white not so rich Hockey players?

Im not even going to answer that, but NHL players are not making nearly the money as NBA players make, and many of the players are just a bad shift from being sent down to the minors. The short term contracts of the players and so many good players banging it out in practice just to get a chance makes for a very intense environment.

If your out of shape in Hockey, or can't play hurt, and you don't have the contract, your toast. On the knicks, everyone is rich. our 12 guys will make ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY FIVE MILLION DOLLARS! No other lockerroom even comes close.

think of the culture of 12 men making that kind of scratch?

Every one knows caucasions can't jump, and african americans can't skate.

But what about Jagr, Shanahan, etc.
There are a lot of players in NHL making good money.
But they still work hard.
I have no problems with ALL NBA players.
There are some who are working and playing hard.
It's not about money. It's about attitude.
My point is - Knicks and Rangers are playing back to back in the Garden. And people will compare.

White guys can outjump Asians Seriously, I don't care what color you are--it's all about character. Shaq has a lot of character--MJ-Joe Dumars-John Stockton--Karl Malone-whatever they were paid--and it is a LOT--they earned it and should be role models for any player who just wants to get his paycheck. Thats the difference in sports--- character

i know some guys don't like nate, and he may be boisterous, but if you fill the team with guys who have his heart and character, you are going to be successful.

One of the best players in the world is black (Ignilia). One of the best goalies ever (Grant Fuhr) is black as well. Color doesnt dictate whtether you can play hockey. Thats really a low way to make a thread

It looks like the people who making a point about politically correct stuff in US are right.
What is joke for me looks pretty serious for a lot of people on the thread... and offending too.
Some stuff you cannot even mention in any context.
We have all kind of freedoms in US but are we really free?
I understand this is historical thing but its long time over... Or is it?

Negative. I remember we had a heated discussion on this awhile ago at MSG. Everyone is different and people's sensitivity towards the touchy race subject is no different. Slavery is over, but racism (Towards all races) certainly isn't and I sometimes feel it's still really bad in certain places. If people come on to the board to talk about sports or just poke around for some fun, it's understandable if they get angry when they see some unnescessary racial remarks, whether it's joking or not. When people say you should not joke in certain ways to certain people, they aren't just saying it for their health. It's legit.
