Taken is awesome. Liam Neeson is bad ass in that movie.

Harry Potter was excellent I thought. Very clever dialogue though I thought the big ending was a little bit rushed.

taken- excellent action movie which is engaging and smart. just enough suspense to keep you interesting and liam neeson killed it. the plot is simple enough but it explored that world of white slavery and the different components whoi are involved but without the social commentary. This is an action movie, by the way. Definately a jason bourne feel but neeson was engaging and charismatic enough to raise this above formula. heard they are somehow making a sequel which i would definately be interested in.

street fighter: the legend of chun li- i originally wanted to watch this because i was a street fighter fan in college and chun li was my girl. heard bad things about this and the van damme one sucked so bad. this one at the very least kept my attention and, i know some people like eny and tms, who take their kung fu movies very seriously will be mad at me, i was pleasantly entertained. i guess i had such gutter expectations but it was good enough. the acting was dismal but the fighting scenes wasnt embarrassing and the story line was decent though i still wanted a tournament around the world plot almost like enter the dragon but with globe trotting.

s. darko- i liked donnie darko though it required multiple viewing because you always miss something. this movie had some of the same concepts but delivered it very sloppily. The pacing dragged more than the first movie and the characters are not as engaging so you do not really care about their fates. disappointed.

12 rounds- very good concept. throwback to the 90's terrorists who makes the hero solve different problems to save him or someone else like speed, die hard with a vengeance and blown away. the difference is that these other movies were done better. this one was entertaining for nostalgic purposes only. but john cena is the worst actor in recent memory and this is definately a "been there, done that" type of movie. watchable but not good.

i can't really consider any movie w/Kristin Kreuk as the main character a "martial arts movie", but i'm glad u didn't think it was as much of a trainwreck at the Van Damme original... maybe i'll catch it on DVD.

lol. that is why i made a disclaimer for you and eny, tms. you guys are kung fu gurus watching the five deadly venoms or the revenge of the flying guillotine. dont expect that here. as a matter of fact i had such low expectation that it entertain so you must have the same or you are going to rip me about this movie too. lol

I saw the Directors Cut of Watchmen on Blu-Ray last night and it was ok...a little long and hard to follow and I think the story is overrated. I did not read the graphic novel but the teasers made this look interesting. Not a must see but if nothing else is in I would check it out.

just saw "Public Enemies" the other day... very intense movie, very good acting throughout... Johnny Depp was excellent as John Dillinger... Christian Bale did a solid job as the FBI agent who pursues him throughout... the gun fights were badass, there's a lot of violence & carnage in this movie... if u don't like violent gangster movies, then obviously i recommend you pass on this one... the ending was very sad though, but the love story that binds the movie together was interesting & believable... definitely recommend you go see this if u like gangster flicks.

saw "in the loop." political satire with gandolfini. seriously funny movie. i'm talking lol, and constant creative use of the f word on the level of a nicholson or pesci. definitely recommend.

Best movie I've seen in the last 10 years. Best Sandler movie EVER, by FAR.

So real, so raw. You feel like you're watching Adam Sandler play himself, he's so awesome and real and raw in it.

saw the collector - it was blah.

saw star trek on my flight home last night. thought it was pretty entertaining. i liked how they tied everything together and didnt try to overcomplicate the premise...good way to 'dumb myself down' for a few hours while drinkin jack and cokes in first class

Transformers 2 was the worst movie I have ever seen besides Soul Plane and Water World. This movie had no direction and the dialog was horrible. The writers just could not make up their minds if they wanted this movie to be a comedy like "America Pie" or an action movie like, "X-Men".

Hey, guess what? Every movie that comes out of Hollywood is about dumbing us down and selling tickets. The Art of Film is dead. Movies that honestly stink are constantly propelled to the top of the box office charts simply because there is nothing else out there, and people will flock no matter what.

+1 I thought this movie was excellent and is well worth seeing. It does run a little long but the characters are great.

This movie got some terrible reviews. I don't go by reviews but when everyone is saying it sucked then there must be something there.

Well its not a slaptstick comedy like most Sandler films and there were a couple people who walked out - but the majority of the crowd stayed and liked it. It does have a lot of funny moments but it is really about people and not about the jokes.

Is it one of the best movies ever made? No. But it is a good story with interesting characters and it shows Sandler in a different light. It is like watching all of these actors play themselves instead of some funny character and it is interesting.

I would compare the negative reviews to when Steve Carrell decides to do a movie that isn't funny - he has a lot of talent and those movies are usually pretty good but the fans and the critics are expecting more Michael Scott and not something serious. Same thing here, people and critics are expecting Happy Gilmore or Billy Madison and instead they are getting something a little more real.

GI Joe

Decent action flick. Good special effects. Not gonna win any awards but entertaining. Has some refernces and some of the characters of the original but not really the same flavor. That and it's an international force not a 'real american hero'. Defeintly worthwhile if u like action movies.
