Dude, he said he unknowingly did steroids called the clean and the clear. He said he thought they were supplements not steroids!
This guy was hitting 40 homeruns and stealing 40 bases long before any boby started to talk about steroids. Now that he is getting close to being the home run King 755. He now this big demon who has been cheating for the last twenty years. Maybe he has taken steroids like 80 percent of the majors but these drugs do not help you to see the ball... record walks
The point is he broke a record Hank Aaron set without any steroids. That means its tainted. You are obviously entitled to your opinion though.

He didn't take Steriods until after the 1998 season. And then through 2003 he used them. This is from the book Game of Shadows.
This is what you don't understand... i'm not taking away from bonds his 30 - 39 home run seasons. Or his stolen bases. He was a first ballot hall of famer before steriods.
Just like i have nothing against Pete Rose the player who got over 4000! hits.
They still cheated. Rose AFTER his career was over. If anything i feel worse for Rose than Bonds because Rose's 4000 hits were done cleanly and hee's not in the hall of fame.
Bonds is a HOFer, steroids or no steroids... but the suspicions around him achieving this record will forever taint his career... nothing anyone says will ever change that... sometimes karma is a bitch.
Today is about the record. One he didn't really break the way we want to see records broken. No one is really saying he is not hall of fame worthy. I think a lot of people are angry about the cherished HR record.
i think the only real person who should be pissed about that is Hank Aaron personally... Bonds breaking his record does nothing for me, positive or negative... anyway, it won't be long before ARod breaks his record, & it will be a clean record.
I'm pissed. I want to see the records rolled back to 61 and 755. Baseball pissed down its pant leg and in my mind, this is worse than the NBA scandal with one referee.
you don't really know if 61 & 755 were was all that clean either... from what i've read, amphetamines were around back then as well... hopefully soon ARod will have encompassed both records, so we can end all this controversy once & for all... i doubt the question marks will ever end until baseball implements a reliable & random testing program for HGH... that is until the chemists develop some other performance enhancer to beat it.
60 and 714 stood for almost 50 years. Barry owns both records at 73 and 756 now. But just look at that gaudy 73. WTF? Seventy-Three Home Runs? Thats too ludicrous to be plausible.
