Great. Our secondary is now headed up by Aaron Please Toast Me Ross. Can you hear Vick drooling drool from here?
We get a great replacement for Osi, and then he ends up being the immovable object that our Pro-Bowl-bound CB tears his ACL on.
We just can't win.
holy fucking shit. now Jonathon Goff is out for the year
This does feel bad, really bad. But, I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll win 10 games if Eli can control the offense and himself. The defense could still surprise you, but rest assured that the gut clenching, remote control throwing style of play will be a constant this year for Big Blue.
I doubt it... there'll be injuries throughout the year. There is very little depth. THere's some but what if, say, Tuck and Ross reaggravate old injuries and miss 2-4 weeks at the same time?

Is Tuck still questionable?

Officially listed as questionable, yes
He practiced in a light contact the other day.. the team thinks he'll play. Tuck isn't so sure. Kiwi was telling him to take it slow... missing one game is bette rhtan the season. If I were Tuck I'd listen to Kiwi, who the team won't pay until he proves his neck is okay... not to mention the whole Osi thing
man, giants suck. this is going to be a long year.

yup... I think I was too generous before when I said 8-8 or 7-9
Looks like the Giants don't have a game plan. Not a big fan of Fewell. Should have canned Tom in favor of Spags when the chance was there. Defense is down right terrible. Probably only bright spot on Defense is JPP.
And I love our offensive line, btw.

Eli: 4 sacks and an interception for a TD. Hopefully Brady will fare worse tonight against the Fish, since he's not as good.
I HATE COUGHLIN. I can call his plays with about 70% accuracy and o don't watch tape.

Why we hold on to this fossil is beyond me.

everyone needs to get shown the door, from management to the coaches.
Wonder if Brady was smiling about his performance versus Eli HOF Manning:
2. Tom Brady, NE - QB
19. Eli Manning, NYG - QB

500+ effing yards!!! And all Eli had was 2 interceptions.
That should teach him about running his mouth.
Eli saying he is as good as Brady is taking a stand for the whole organization. Yes he threw 2 picks. One was a freak play. The special teams and secondary was also horrrible. Are we blaming Eli for that? The Patriots took advantage of a young team and ran up the meter. Eli will have big weeks but Washington was on an emotional high. I'm sure Grossman was happpy to not see Osi or Tuck chasing him down. That would have changed everything. Eli is still an elite quarterback. Even the elite QBs get thrown off their games. I doubt Brady goes for 500 yards next week and guarentee the Giants will destroy the Rams. Stay tuned...

Eli is not a bad QB. But he isn't even close to being elite right now. Brady has a body of work and how many rings to back that up? I root for Eli to succeed but he is not in the same level as Brady/Peyton. I do think he has the tools to get there and our coach is responsible for his lack of confidence and for not having people he can throw the ball to.

...or who can catch the ball when he throws it to them.
The facts are the facts. The point isn't whether Eli is a good QB, the point is Eli runs his mouth. Brady runs games, I don't care who he's running it up against. Are you seriously going to say Eli could have thrown for 500 yards if he was in the same position as Brady?. Please. It's the same old adage; STFU Eli and let your results talk for you.
I think you guys are missing the point on Eli. Its good to have confidence in your abilities. If he thinks he is elite then its his right to think that. Over the years Eli has lost his weapons gradually all his go to targets have been taken away. Palxico, Steve Smith, Amani Toomer, Boss all these guys are gone and now his game is hurting because all the reliable receivers that he had are all gone. Last year he had to work Nicks and Manningham into the rotation still managed to throw over 4,000 yards. How many of his interceptions were deflected into the opponents hand as a result of stone hands by his receivers? Manning is going to bounce back and play effectively he is to good and like it or not he is probably one of the most cerebral QBs out there. It doesn't help that he has to deal with a revamped offensive line to boot. This one is on the GM, Coughlin and Gilbride. The GM this year did a terrible job. Coughlin should have asked Plaxico to come to the Giants instead he steered him away from them. As for Steve Smith I don't think he would have helped much this year anyways. The loss of Boss is another factor. Smith and Boss were his go to targets especially on third down now he has to rely on a bunch of receivers that probably don't know their routes yet.

Everything you said is correct but it still is no reason for him to compare himself to Brady. Like jrodmc said, the point was he was running his mouth. If you want people to think of you as an elite QB you gotta go out there and earn it. One superbowl where the team was known mostly for it's defense ain't gonna get you to that level. Peyton also has one superbowl but everybody and their mother thinks he is one of the best QBs ever, because of how he controls the game and imposes his will on his teammates. Eli needs to do a LOT more before he can talk the talk.
