Romo has ruled himself out of next week, but we need to be on our game regardless. Its a desperation game for the Cowboys and a game they have to have to stay in contention for the division.
GREAT win against the Steelers, Giants dominated most of the game and the defense came up strong, but the offense's struggles in the red zone was a bit concerning. The game should never have been that close, but closing out the 4th quarter the way the did certainly redeemed them.

considering they were playing against the NFL's #1 ranked defense i'd say the Giants did a very effective job of moving the ball when they needed to... their failure to score TD's in the red zone was concerning no doubt but they still got the ball well within Carney's range each & every time, & to his credit he knocked down every one of them... the defense picked up the offense this game but we've all seen the offense pick up the defense in others...
there are really no gimme games left in this season's schedule, so being at 6-1 after the first 7 is as good as anyone could have expected w/the schedule they've played up to this point... if we even finish out at w/a 4-5 record we'll still be in a good position for the WC.
Eli and the OLine played GREAT against the NFL's best defense. No sacks. No fumbles. No INTs. He came up with a big touchdown in the 4th and a huge 30 yard bomb to Toomer on 4th and 6 (that was BALLS).
Takes care of the ball and another 4th qtr comeback.
Both defense played great. Their QB held the ball too long and tried to force too many throws. Ours didnt and that was the difference in the game.
So the Post and the Daily News both mentioned Osi was healthy today. The DN said he couldn't come back, obviously, because of the IR but also couldn't come back for the playoffs. But I remember Berman asking him on MNF if he thought maybe he could play in the playoffs...
So I'm confused. Could Osi come back and play in the playoffs if he gets healthy? Does season ending IR means season ending for both the regular season and the playoffs?
Yes, he can play in the playoffs. Remember TO in the Super Bowl a few years back?
No if he's on IR he can't come back at all this season.
T.O. didn't go on IR..
For the season, not the playoffs.

No its for the season and the playoffs. They cannot return till next year.
Giants defense clearly is the truth, backup QB's or not. They were pretty outstanding as a group again today.
I don't think the Giants played their best game- but hey they took the biggest gripe from last week and went 5/5 in the redzone today.
the Defense has been awesome all season long except for the CLE game debacle... the offense finally woke up a little this week tho Eli still made a couple horrible throws that coulda cost us if the D wasn't on point today like they were... Dallas is clearly a team w/no heart left in them, they were just going through the motions today... next week will be a good test against an Eagles team that's playing much better ball right now than this DAL team is... looks like the ultimate showdown in WAS will be the game of the season... can't wait for the rematch!
If we win tonight- I think we cannot help but make the playoffs. 3-0 in the division at this point is dispositive unless we collapse.
no doubt, we will be in a great position if we win tonight... we already are almost assured of a WC berth barring any monumental collapse in the 2nd half of the season.
knew this was gonna be a tough one... gotta love the challenge on that huge drive by Coughlin... Andy Reid wasting 2 timeouts on bad challenges of his own... second one wasn't bad but that first one was brutal... wouldn't wanna be him driving home on the interstate listening to the angry Philly fans calling in to the radio shows.
is it just me or is Al Michaels absolutely unbearable to listen to during the game? come on dude, "K, John, so the Giants have a choice here, they can either accept the offsides penalty & have 3rd & 2, or they can take the result of the play & it'll be 4th & 1."... uhhh, Al? are you serious? what do u think they're gonna do here?
8-1 BITCHES!!! MUHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Amazing challenge by TC- I thought we wasted that one initially, but his eyes are sharper than mine. That play basically won the game for us.
We didn't play the best, but a road win against Philly is huge any year.
We need to keep this up. I hope and pray our team stays intact until the playoffs. This team is something special.
The one area this team is really vulnerable in is if they took an injury to one of their DT's. They don't have a lot of depth there.
How great was that play by Blackburn on 4th down btw. Great effort.
that last 10 minutes was about as badly managed by Reid as u can get... wasted 2 timeouts w/those challenges, 1 of them completely desperate & obvious he wasn't gonna win it, & then 2 run sweeps on 3rd & 4th down plays on the last drive when they hadn't had any success at all running the ball the entire game... if i was a Philly fan i'd be hugely pissed at Reid right now, but i'm not complaining.
They still had plenty of time to a score a TD on their final drive, but the last playcall might've been iffy. With the Eagles though, its hard to argue with putting the ball in Westbrook's hands.

i think i woulda let McNabb take it outside & either run it or toss to a check down reciever or back.
sounds like DeAngelo Hall might be on our radar again:

New York Daily News
"The Giants might have another shot at acquiring DeAngelo Hall. The Giants reportedly are one of five teams interested in signing Hall, who was released by the Raiders on Wednesday and went unclaimed on waivers. Hall is expected to make a decision in the next day or two, with the Giants, Redskins, Patriots and Steelers all interested, according to NFL.com.
Sources say the Jets are also taking a look at the free-agent cornerback. Hall is looking for a long-term situation, which would make the Jets a longshot. They have two young corners, Darrelle Revis and Dwight Lowery, although Lowery was benched in last week's game.
The Giants were mildly interested in trading for Hall in the offseason, but the price was too high in both draft picks and salary. Hall, 24, was traded by the Falcons to the Raiders for a second-round pick last March. The cornerback signed a seven-year, $70million deal with the Raiders, who paid Hall $8million but did not want to pay another $16 million in injury-guaranteed bonuses.
