A few of the papers now saying Robbins is likely to stay for another year. Giants are gona be stacked up front.
How about signing Jason Taylor and have him or Kiwi play OLB?
Taylor looks done to me.
I wonder if Tony Gonzalez is still in play. Right now we have a lot of picks. Whenever we have more than the regular number of picks we seem to make a trade.

What if the Giants get Taylor to fill the role Reggie Torbor used to? I think Taylor still can get to the passer in passing situations
I guess I could see Gonzalez still wanting a trade, but don't you think the Chiefs would want Cassel to throw Gonzalez?
Kiwi will be the one standing up at times to rush the passer. It just doesn't make sense to pay Taylor with Osi, Kiwi and Tuck in front of him and the signings they've already made (Bernard and Canty can play DE).
BTW, Derrick Ward just signed with Bucs, 4 yrs / 17 mil. Good look to DWard. His contributions were very appreciated.
Yup, congrats to Ward. I liked him when he was here and I hope he continues to be successful, not at the expense of the Giants, of course.
Good for Mr. Ward. Excited to see what Ware can do though

me too, Ware's got some nice size & hits the holes pretty hard like Ward used to do... i think we'll be OK & looking forward to seeing Ahmad get more touches too... the guy makes plays.
gotta wish Ward well whereever he goes, he was a gamer no doubt about it.
TJ Housh signed with Seattle
We signed a safety, CC Brown of the Texans. He started for a couple of years but had a broken arm last year. Could potentially rotate with Johnson and Phillips

now to address our WR hole.
An sneaky move would be to sign Malcom Floyd. He's an RFA, but would only take a 2nd round pick to make it happen and we have an extra one from the Shockey trade.
Not too many young stud receivers out there any better than him.
hearing alotta talk about a possible Kiwanuka trade for Braylon Edwards.
I think if we trade for Edwards it will be picks and not Kiwi.
Offered without commment...The Cowboys just released TO.
I'd bet that if TO plays again it's in Oakland

I hate that trade... they can have two second round picks if they want to trade Edwards. Seemed like that dude dropped everything last year (except versus us)
The cost may instead be something like a 2nd round pick and Jay Alford
I love that the ManGenius is trying to take Cleveland's offense back to the 1930's.
How are they still holding on to two QB's? What a messed up team.
I like Floyd for our late 2nd rounder much better than multiple picks for Braylon.
We can use Kiwi to trade for a pick.
I saw that we brought in Ben Troupe and picked up some no-name TE instead. Remember when Troupe was supposed to be the next Sharpe? Good thing that worked out.
Which receiver looks best for us in the draft? That Bey kid from Maryland?

I like the Floyd for a second better than multiples for Edwards too, the more I think about it...
Anywho, usually I hate trading up in the NFL because picks have so much value... but the Giants are so deep the only isue on the roster now is to add players that make a true impact...

Completely unrelated, Roy Williams got released... How about signing him to be an OLB? I'm dreaming, I know... but he can hit, blitz, and play the run, and in that regard he is a game changer. In coverage he SUCKS, but still can get picks... which I think bodes well for LB packages where he'd be covering the shifty RB or TE or when he'd be addign delayed pressure. He sucks at coverage, but I really would do backflips if the GMen signed Williams because I think he's tenacity is perfect for the team
I definitely wouldn't pay Pro Bowl asking price... but if Canty could talk him into coming to the Giants in some specialist role, wow.
Giants have extra picks this year and don't have the roster space that would allow for all of them to make the team. So a trade up or a picks for a player trade is a virtual certainty.
Yeah, Reese already said he probably wouldn't have all the picks by the time the draft comes along.
Roy Williams is a funny dude. I could see the Ravens taking him to play that 46 role where he's an extra guy at the line of scrimmage.
You'd think he'd be a good nickel LB. Remember when Jesse Armsted used to play Strong Safety and Nickle LB?

Trading up for Crabtree makes too much sense... the team that has a draft pick high enough to select him has a high pick because that team sucks. That team likely needs to get DL/OL/RB/QB help immediately, and the best way to do that is to trade down and turn a top pick into three potential starters.
