While I absolutely 100% agree with you, Jacobs has been crap this year, which has made it hard for Gilbride to get anything going off the running game. I don't know what's up with Jacobs, but he's not nearly the same player.

I like being a monday morning quarterback and I think I can tell you what is wrong with Jacobs. The plays the Gilbride has been calling for Jacobs is not really his strong suit. He keeps calling stretch plays. Jacobs is a North-and-South runner. He needs to square his hips as fast as possbile and he is being tackled going east-west right now. The last game, even though we lost, was one of his better games. They called draws, delays and a bunch of plays to the 2 and 1 hole for Jacobs. Jacobs can bounce it to the outside but he needs to establish the inside run first. Just let him follow Hedgecock and a pulling Snee all day long. It is a beautiful thing to watch.

Also, teams are stacking the line. They have 8 and 9 man fronts. You can actually call play action on every play when Jacobs is in.

Jacobs has been more than fine the last couple weeks. We keep throwing deep and keep missing, and can't sustain drives because of it. Either we start hitting those or we need to keep it more simple. The level of difficulty in executing or passing game is a little ridiculous right now.

i agree, we need to start playing more ball control & give our defense a chance to rest during games... it's good to take a shot downfield every once in a while but not on every drive... the 3 & outs & short drives are killing us & giving our opponent excellent field position

5-0 against crappy teams & 0-3 vs. good teams... guess that means we're not really contenders this year... unless this team can do something about their piss poor pass coverage, we mine as well forget about postseason play... we still have some very tough teams left to play & we need to go at least 6-2 the rest of the way to give ourselves a legitimate shot to get in to the playoffs this year, especially w/so many good teams in our conference... i don't see it happening this year.

The Giant defense is god aweful. Someone fire the defensive coordinator. The SOB was calling blitz when they should have rushed 4 and dropped everyone and their mothers back. First five games were great because the players remembered what Spags left behind but as Sheridan puts his finger prints on the defense they get worse and worse.

We are pretty much screwed- playing with a lack of confidence. Sheridan is in a little over his head, but what is our approach on offense right now. 1st and goal at the 4 and we don't try to put one in the endzone? When a TD basically ends the game and any other results leaves the door open? That was just mindboggling. The D played well up untill the last drive, which was a disaster. But they had made several big plays in the 4th quarter before that.

Sheridan definitely is way over his head. His play calling is HS level shit. Also, the offensive play calling is in question again.
Jacobs rushed 11 times for 67 yards. That is 6.1 a pop. Eli is at his best on play action. Can we please get back to the old battering ram approach. Please.

Was at the game yesterday and had that great giant's fan feeling that you get when you know you are going to let the opposing team come back and beat you. Of course, they obliged. They really suck. Thank god for the Yankees.

at least the Cowgirls & Phillybirds lost this week, so we're only a game behind DAL.
still have our fate in our own hands... if we beat DAL & PHI we have a good chance to win this suddenly very mediocre division this year... after 4 straight losses i didn't think we'd have a shot, but it's now all up to these guys to wake TFU & be accounted for this season.
