Need full concentration and focus. get through this one night celebration--Cespedes has nearly a week to feel better and I think it will go back to Degroom Harvey Syndergaard next week. Jesus Tyler Clippard relies on that fat change up too much.

This was upsetting to read...

• Yoenis Cespedes left the game in the second inning with a sore left shoulder. This could create some controversy: Cespedes played golf Wednesday morning, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

Clippard's fasball is not bad, as we saw tonight after he started using it. Reed looked solid tonight, and he was doing much of it with his fastball.

Hopefully the magic remains for the WS. I think they are a focused team, though.

I can't believe it! Back in June the stadium was half empty. Now we're going to the World Series!

Brutal brutal loss

You just cant lose up in the 9th inning with your closer in there--just cant:( Very very tough one to swallow.

Royals relief
pitchers
are dominant

Mets need to make more contact.

Gave up leads of 3-1 an 4-3 on the road.

BRIGGS @ 10/29/2015 12:55 AM
Just a let down game after such a tough loss.

Here on in its all the marbles

You just cant account for a loss in the 9th inning --it just doesnt happen

BRIGGS @ 10/29/2015 3:33 AM
Mets need a big output game --we need a breakout game where we score 7-10 runs so we can use back end relievers to mop the last 4-5 innings. I think if we can get it to game 7 e can piece meal it with multiple picthers but we need this next game and it would be best if we can get Synderaggard out after 5.
gunsnewing @ 10/29/2015 9:19 AM
All the marbles means you go to your best pitchers even with a big early lead. This is new to Collins. He can't be overwhelmed. Down "-2 you do everything you can not to go down 0-3. Then you take it one game at a time

Need to score runs--that is pivotal. That 1st game was an insane back breaker--you cant lose that game and we did.

Yeah, losing the 1st game was awful.

In sports all you can do is put yourself into position to win. I give all the credit in the world to Gordon who hits a 440 foot home run straight away into the cold air with one out in the 9th. When people say jees how come these guys make so much money--case in point right there--only a few people on earth can do what he did.

BRIGGS wrote:Collins is still terrible at understanding when to take out your SP. Syndergard was done after 5 and leaving him in cost the game.

The guy who lost that game was once again Collins

He left Matz in to long and the first base runner that Clippard put on has to be his last. The way Reed was throwing just give hm the ball and let him go 1-2 outs maybe 3 in th 8th.

Also Cespede is lost in left field hes got high high talent but hes low IQ

gunsnewing @ 11/1/2015 9:13 AM
Sayonara Mets

I dont mind losing in sports but its just awful awful difficult to take when in no other terms--give games away. I give KC all the credit in the world--they made plays--we did not.
We had 3 games where we were winning 1 in the 8 and 2 in the ninth and lost all 3 games. The statistical possibility for this occurring is infinitely small.

I give so much credit to Alex Gordon who hit that home run in game 1--he started it and it was all him--you just have to give him credit. But Collins slow call to go to Familia to start inning 8 two nights ago and nine last night--to me killed us. He just left the starting pitcher in too long 3 games and then did not give Familia a "clean inning" and should've been smart enough to stay clear of Clippard in a big spot.

You just feel we gave this away in many ways--that odds to lose 3 games so late combined just cant happens and that there has to be blame on the manager for mishandling the end of game scenarios. Im not a Yankee fan but I always felt Joe Torre was a master of handling innings 8-9

Its just so terrible there is no game 6 no more chance tough to take.

Next year going 4ward I dont think Id pay Cespedes big money--I think I let him walk. We need to use money on another contact hitter with some speed who can take the 2 hole a quality back up catcher who can make a throw down to 2nd and some live arms for the back of the bullpen. I think we have the pitching for year to come

so I need to sure up my defense my bull pen and I need another guy who is a single doubles hitter with some speed who does not strike out at a high rate and can get me 20-25 stolen bases. I think I can get away with Lagares as my CF Conforto in left and Granderson in right.

We need a 2 hole hitter and we need to re sign Murphy.

gunsnewing @ 11/2/2015 3:23 PM
I as afraid of terry being in over his head because of lack of experience in this seree
BRIGGS @ 12/9/2015 4:28 PM
Looks like we picked up Neil Walker for Niese. Good solid swap. Murphy is gone for sure. Right now I think their salaries are lower than 2015.

Decent swap but losing Murphy might be the worst move in baseball in the last 5 years. Also one thing I hate to see is the pitcher we gave up for Cespedes is pitching great for Detroit. The Mets are in the a worse predicament than last year--maybe much worse. How can you lose a double header with Matz and Degroom? Even with Wright and Duda--it was never a team that was built well. Its either home run or strike out. And you strike out a lot more than you hit it!! We may have to sacrifice Harvey in a deal where we get back a young plyer who can get on base and a couple of young pitchers. What were they thinking letting Murphy go even with Walker????

Congratulations to Mike Piazza for his induction into the baseball Hall of Fame. A great player and a great Met.

Some GIF's of Piazza hitting home runs. Keep hitting them your entire life.

I went to yesterday's game--- the W saved their season for the moment---just brutal losses last week. Letting Daniel Murphy go was a cataclysmic mistake. They took their 2 hole batter away and he was the singles guy who has new found power. Right now hes a top 5 player in the game and the difference why the Mets are 4 games over and not 14-18

BRIGGS @ 8/1/2016 8:01 PM
Mets got back Niese and picked up jay Bruce. They kind of needed a guy who could get on base some more to set the table. Bruce is kind of a version of many players they have
BRIGGS @ 8/2/2016 6:48 AM
uggh 3/5 losses in the last week the mets were leading after 7
BRIGGS @ 9/4/2016 1:14 PM
1 game out with 26 to go. I will say this team has been resilient through an incredible injury barrage
BRIGGS @ 9/15/2016 2:22 PM
Ah I was hoping for 1 out of 3 in Washington but we legitimately should've won all 3 games. Its sad every-time I see Murphy--hes the difference why this team is not 25 games over .500
