How do you guys feel about J Kidd bolting for San Antonio as I have a feeling he will. He says he wants to win a championship, and be a champion, but to me, what good is it going to the team thats already the champion? Thats suppose to raise him higher? The Spurs won with Parker, so what would it prove if he went there. Kidd didn't exactly shine in the finals and have the time gor schooled by Parker. I guess I'm trying to say, if you want to be remembered for being a star you have to earn it. I think you have to take the team on your shoulders and win to get the respect, not ride the already existing coat-tails of Tim Duncan. That would not make me think of him as a winner if he did that.

so true so true

i don't think kidd would be riding the coattails of duncan. the spurs have had duncan for awhile now and this is their first time back on top so it aint like san antonio can be penciled in every year.
considering teams like the mavs suns kings and lakers have more than 1 all-star wouldn't it just as beneficial for tim duncan that kidd signed with san antonio?

i don't think kidd can take over a game and that is what he needs to be riding with. someone who can

... there was talk in the Post of a sign and trade deal to the Kings... involving Bibby and Turkelo... throw in Clark and it might not be so bad for the Nets... particularly if Kidd's going to leave anyway.

the wild wild west

i think kidd can takover a game but not as consistent as Tim. to me thats seperates the greats from the elites. some guys can play good 3 games in a series but guys like timmy , shaq, jordan they bring every night.

If the spurs call jason will leave.
prodson @ 6/19/2003 3:25 PM
yeah i don't think that came out right. maybe i should have said against the great ones he doesn't stand a chance
ARES @ 6/19/2003 4:19 PM
i would agree.
