Could the Nuggets be trying to acquire Nets' point guard Jason Kidd?
According to the Rocky Mountain News, who cites an article on ESPN, an unnamed source says the Nuggets have expressed interest in Kidd, who said his agent, Jeff Schwartz, has had continued conversations with the Nets about possibly dealing him by the Feb. 21 trade deadline. [READ]

Denver would love that. Kidd K-Mart and Carmelo would harken back to the NETS circa 2003 but with better bigs. The NETS probably want some young prospects back as well.

i have to imagine it would be an even up trade... AI is still putting up awesome #'s (27 & 7 w/2 steals a game) & he's a couple years younger than Kidd... their contracts are pretty much even up... maybe it would involve a couple minor players like Jason Collins & Eduardo Najera changing hands, or maybe Kleiza & Antoine Wright are involved.
I think they'd be looking for someone younger than AI. He's got a lot of mileage on his body. By the time the Nets are a top team in the east again, AI would be ready to retire.
if they could get AI and Klieza and package AI somewhere for some young talent that would be a great move for both teams. Nuggets would have to be a favorite with kidd running the show, they would be a much better team
