Off Topic · OT: Oops, Found Out a Secret... (page 1)

Solace @ 2/23/2008 3:30 PM
The other night, when my accountant was over, he kind of let it slip that my boss is engaged (he's also boss's accountant). At first, I almost thought he was mistaken, although I had my suspicions that my boss was dating someone else at my company. I'd seen him hanging around her multiple times with the door closed. Sure enough, on a whim, I just did an internet search and found the wedding registry of my boss and that other employee at my company. Um, oops...

Clearly, I have no intentions of saying anything. Obviously they didn't want anyone at work to know, so I won't say anything.

Anyway, has anyone else found out a secret like this?

Out of curiosity, does anyone here actually start OT threads in the OT forum? I was just following the trend. If that's the standard, that's cool, but then let's have everyone do that.

That's a pretty big secret. Looks like Solace just "earned" himself a raise (if his boss knows what's good for him).

I found out that the boss of some guy who posts on an internet sports forum is marrying someone from this internet poster's workplace.

Boy, was I shocked!

Not sure if you meant to put a comma, instead of a less-than symbol? Nonetheless, are you saying my boss is a drama queen? I would say nah, just assuming it's because he doesn't want anyone to find out since it's an awkward situation since the two work together.

you & your "accountant" are spending an inordinate amount of time together of late.

Haha.

That was a revelation from the same night he was over (ONCE PER YEAR, pervs). I didn't mention it earlier, because at first I thought he was mistaken.

As long as they are not "getting in the truck or what?" then its your secret!

Really, if your accountant never slipped you'd not know.
