What should we read into the fact the Raptors had North Carolina State power forward J.J. Hickson back in for a second look, the only guy they did that with?
Not entirely sure but it has to be a good sign if you’re Hickson. He’s 6-9, a bullish low post guy who, someone, gets it done.
Here’s how Jim Kelly summed him up:
"I think he really knows how to use his body, he has a knack for getting inside, he uses his weight very well and has all these little ‘flip’ shots and I don’t know how you exactly describe him but he shoots the lights out from down in the low block area and he’s played against big guys all his life.”

I agree, I think in 3 yrs after he is drafted we will be hearing his name. It all depends on what his work ethic is in the NBA.
Its odd to me that the Raptors are pursuing him. They already have the same player, Kris Humpheries.
I would think they'd target Chalmers (if Ford is dealt), or a C like McGee, Jordan, Speights or Koufos.
Everyteams drafts is gonna change once a team infront of them start picking for other teams because of draft day trades of swapping of picks.

I'd love to get a late first rounder and pick him up. He would have been a lottery pick next year if he stayed at NC State.

I think it is possible Hickson moves up into the late lottery this year. I think you would have to have a top 20 pick to swipe him. He certainly is not talked about but certainly one of the most underrated players in the draft.
These videos were very telling to the eye for talent.
