Then he has the nerve to up the suit from $1milli to 1.4milli for having to hire extra people for the investigation process. I still can't get over Clip Delaney just stands their like a F'N mannequin and watched Kobe plow Bibby over and Bibby got called for the foul. I mean he watched it develop from start to finish and did nothing.

Any way you slice it, the refs in that game were either incompetent, biased or on the take. And that has nothing to do with Donaghy, the NBA ref who was actually found guilty of betting on games that he refereed.
Stern can say whatever he wants about anybody else but make no mistake, he's the one that has turned the NBA into a league where the integrity of the game is always in question.

wow its even worse than i remember it being. There were so many blatant fouls and so many phantom fouls. I remember watching that game live and remembering it as a disgrace. Watching the fouls after all this time seems to have made it worse especially with the allegations by Donaghy.

If you notice one of the biggest rogue ref's in the clips that's still in the game is Dick Bavetta, the guy is loyal to stern and the fix.

For some reason, I remember that hit to Bibby's face being in Sacratomato. Didn't the Kings lose in Sacramento that series? Psychos.

Yeah, that happened also. It was Doug Christie from what I remember. Kobe elbows him in the face as Christie is defending him on the wing, Christie is called for the foul.

Sad to see the Kings players laughing, they assuredly knew what was going on there. Must have been a helpless feeling. The look on Adelman's face in the second clip is priceless.
Amazing feedback from the writers who covered the game. They held no punches.
