Briggs - I have been following GSI for the past week. For the past 3 days its price falls to the $3.25, $3.35.....and then at the very end of the day jumps back up. Usually on low volume. Was someone trying to push the price back up??

Yesterday was a little different as the volume at 4 PM was very large and raised the price back up only 12 cents to $3.47

So what is going on?

P.S. I am impressed with your stock knowledge and aggressive purchasing of potentially good companies.

The institutional ownership of the stock is very low--so the brokerages that make a market in the stock really have carte blanche to move it around. There was a 13-D filed by B Riley a few days ago which showed their accumulation went over 5%. The way to accumulate stock is to move it around--taking out stops and shagging people who panic or get fed up. If you go back about three months--the stock has traded within a .50 or so barrier. I have seen it all--the worst thing to do in any stock is follow it minute by minute day by day unless something changes in the fundamentals or you are in the stock for a day/momo trade etc... I am 125% confident here HIGHLY HIGHLY confident--and that is the best I can tell you. I also feel the overall market is going to have a massive capitulation and I am waiting with open arms

With all of the markets going crazy and people panicking, what do you see as a good low price to wait for at this time?

BRIGGY,

StealthGass, sym "gass" http://biz.yahoo.com/pz/081113/154555.ht... looks like a company you would look at. 19% dividend, just voted on in last quarter.

This looks like somthing you would look at. Last trade at $3.84. Stock down 50% in last 30 days.

URL above has spreadsheet. What ya think? Nothing official of course, just two dudes chit chat.

Be careful of companies that carry a heavy debt-load right now. For a small cap--you would like to see no debt right now. You know how many companies offered a cash-dividend after the crash in 1920? They are just trying to get people to buy the stock.
BRIGGS @ 11/19/2008 4:08 PM
Nasdaq broke support@ 1400---I think even the worst bottom side predictions will be beat. This thing is headed for 800. Basically the market is now saying all technology that was created between 1994 and 2008 is worth nothing.
Nalod @ 11/21/2008 10:15 AM
Im digging the insider buying thing on gsit.

PHuching Citigroup, WOW!!!!!

Silverfuel @ 12/2/2008 8:19 AM
Hey BRIGGS, do you think I should keep adding to my stockpile here?
Nalod @ 12/18/2008 3:17 PM
Briggy, you still adding to GSIT? You out?

Momentum is falling.

Here is a little lesson. If you believe in something in the market place and feel compelled enough to put your money down--you have to have patience. It's nice to sometimes have those week or day bangers but in reality if that was the case--there would be hundreds of millions of millionaires. I remained patient here--as I have with many stocks in my day--it fell back--I bought some more to bring my cost average down into the low 3s and now Im sitting with a very very nice profit and in one year I will have cut additional tax burden by holding it for two years. While you always need to continually re-evaluate the fundamentals--make sure nothing that made you put your money has changed --you have to have patience. There are too many people who want/expect a next day return or are inexperienced and have a itchy trigger finger[expected for a novice because it s their money] but this is 20 years learned. You have to accept ups and down and if you cant or it hurts your mental or physical condition--maybe its not for you. I remember the first stock I ever listed here was light path--it did take over a year to return a juicy profit and it didnt come close to my initial goal but still good money made while enduring the rough seas of the stock market. I hope this gets to where I want it to go--besides a very nice financial windfall this was will bring some personal satisfaction because I put a lot of friends and family into it and had to make the case to remain patient while I was hearing the btching etc.. opf course same people have made quite a dime off of me over the years---but people only remember your last base hit in this world.
When this is 10 bucks---my brother owes me a night at Scores where I intend to spend his fcking wallet dry.

Earnings today on GSIT - I am with you on the patience BRIGGS, I still have a lot of trouble with it myself and I have been trading for 7 years. I did take my money out during the last 2 years while I was in business school because I needed to live off of it (thank god I did or I would be broke right now). However, I am back in again and have made a little bit of money so far, and have used some of your tips which I thank you for. My gut it telling me we are about to get the pullback analysts were calling for weeks ago but it is so hard to tell in this market. We have just had a once in a lifetime event where prices fell so far and so fast that the buying opportunities were amazing. Long term we are definitely going up but short term is where the patience comes in.

Good luck to all.

You knowledge and especially your advice in general is a great teaching for myself and many others who aren't very experienced in stock investing. Highlighted above. Thanks for keep reminding me.

Just picked this up at $3.80 - will hold it
BRIGGS @ 11/30/2009 2:21 PM
With good stocks in a good position with a big holding--you just have to be patient my friends to make a shtload of money.
BRIGGS @ 11/30/2009 2:38 PM
Hy Nalod--next time you have a question refer back to this--I can't be perfect but I am very good at what I do. And I'm very happy to have had the opportunity to continue to load on GSIT when I had the opportunity--heck--it's been nearly a 1.5 years. But it kept looking like a super model--and I kept fcking it:) and now we are having a beautiful baby:)

--Nothing other than a stock price has changed. Did a stop loss decrease my holdings in the stock--yes. Do I still hold some--yes. Could I reestablish more inventory again--I could. Now the reason why I was short with him is because he doesn't need me to answer a question that is quite public--there is no information on the stock in the last month that changed any perception of the company. Do I use a strategic trading policy---with most stocks--not all. For instance I have a LOT of GSIT and I have gone through the ups and downs with the stock and I haven't sold one share and bought significantly more because I really like it long term. ARIA is way to speculative to be in love with it--if I get stopped out I get stopped out. That doesnt change my belief that it will one day be much higher OR does it change the possibility that I may re-acquire the shares at a different $ range.

Let me also answer like this--I consider Yahoo and Google two core stocks for me--Do I own them every day of the year--no--in fact I have been in and out of them--especially yahoo several times. Does it change my belief in either company--no[and I dont compare these types of stocks to highly speculative one's] I am an investor AND a trader and unless I own 257K or 128K shares of a company--I consider anything liquid to move for a buck at anytime. Understand?

you hold interesting grudges on questions not of your ability but only if anything changed your mind.

Nothing wrong with feeling your oats with piss and vinager on days like to day but you got me way wrong on Aria.

And yes, thank you for GSIT.

The only thing I question is your short fuse.

How high is this thing going? How much longer are you guys holding out before you sell?

Yeah.. Briggs, what is your opinion on where this thing will go from here? I'm just curious - I've been since 3.61

Unless it skyjacks Im here for the long haul. Ive been in it for 20 months. I'm not selling IGOI or GSIT until I feel they fully mature or have hot a pinnacle[or close to it]

That;s good to know, just for myself, because I didn't think I should sell yet. Always good to have a little backing when you have thoughts like that.

Thanks Briggs.

Remember--if you feel you have hit your own personal $ target--take the money--meaning if you had a goal of 20% etc.. stick with your goal.
