yikes...
i think she could actually be the first woman player to play in the NBA... would it be legal?
It better be! I heard Walsh was actually saving cap space for her.
With a name like Candace, dude's gotta be tough.

Yeah. I think she is legal.
And she did it with "stiff legs".
oohah
She needs to bring her turnovers down and stop deferring to Leslie so much. As good as she is, Michael Cooper's mailing it in this year. The team is way too inconsistent to have 3 future hall of famers.

Well, again, she IS a rookie.

Sounds a bit like the men's team in 2004. We all know what happened to them ultimately.
does anyone think it could be at all possible for Candace to play in the NBA? just wondering.

No, not even close. Physically I think the difference is still to big to overcome. Maybe in a league of semi-pros or retired players but not a professional league with the best athletes in the world. People say the Williams sisters could hang with men in Tennis b/c of their, but from endurance standpoint there is no way they could hang with any pro player in best of 5 set match and keep up that level of strength. Not trying to be sexist, its just a biology thing.

No. She still needs to get stronger to be consistent in the WNBA, let alone the NBA. No matter how any of the talking heads try to spin it, she can't play either guard position at the pro level. As Michael Cooper's insistence on forcing her to play all 5 positions has shown, her decision making is too inconsistent for a 1 and her outside shot is too inconsistent for a 2. However, due to her wingspan, she can play 4 positions on defense and is great in a zone either up top or on the wings.
In the NBA, she'd be a guard on both ends. She's much better as a quick 4 taking bigs off the dribble. Her post game is improving every day which will make her the greatest big in women's basketball history. But in the NBA, she'd probably only be better than the Royal Ivey's of the world. The game is too quick. She'd have a better chance now though with all the rule changes that prevent physical play on the perimeter, but she'd have to reinvent her entire game to transform herself into a true guard and not just a big with a good handle.
I don't blame her turnovers on her. I blame them on Michael Cooper for making her do every single thing out there when he does have capable role players, he just thought all he had to do was show up and win a ring since he has Parker, Milton-Jones and Leslie. He's too busy trying to turn her into Magic instead of letting her do her. I also blame the GM for drafting a midget point guard when they already had one. If they wanted Shannon Bobbitt that bad, they could have signed her as a free agent when she went undrafted instead of wasting the pick.
She's fly as hell and she can ball. Paging the WNBA marketing squad! You got your B-ball Beyonce, right here. She can jolt this league. They need to push her image like crazy from this point forward.
Need to dump that cock-eyed Williams cat. Its bad enough that the real Beyonce is dating a camel --- but at least his name rings bells. Whats Parker's excuse?
