This is a very unusual situation where you can acquire a true premier impact player in the NFL--maybe its only for two years but you take that chance with what we have calling the plays. Football truly is a sport where you can turn it around very quickly and with all of the $$$ spent on the offensive line--I would offer a first round pick for Farve no questioned asked. Who was the best draft pick last year? the second round pick the Pats gave up for Randy Moss
they woulda been stupid to give up a 1st rounder for 1 year of Favre & then who knows what kinda drama he puts them through next season... they made the right call, gave up a 4th rounder that will likely turn out to be a 3rd rounder at the least if he takes 50% of the snaps this season w/a possibility of becoming a 2nd if the Jets make the playoffs... i severely doubt they get to the Super Bowl so they needn't worry about giving up a 1st in this deal... even a 2nd is a high price to pay but the Jets needed to grab some kind of headlines in NYC for a change w/all the success the Giants had last season... if this trade helps them to get back to postseason play it would have been worth it for ownership, especially w/their new stadium being built for next season.
