Off Topic · OT: Obama/McCain - Doesn't Matter (page 1)

They're all puppets and will do whats right for the government/big business/corporations/etc. I just hope people wake up to this and understand that neither Obama or McCain will make a change. Look at their voting record. We've always been slaves and this country has always been masked as a democracy. And as a society, we have all become retards with the crap that we do and believe in.

Check out this film if you have not yet. It's how I feel: INTO THE WILD - A great film about a man, Chris, who leaves everything to live in the wild and the passion and love that nature/animals have and how it's not about the money or the fame or anything but being happy and living free....

LI knicks fan are you a ron paul supporter?
LongIslandKnicksFan @ 8/23/2008 2:43 PM
Yes. I support anyone who is for the constitution and civil liberties. Ron has some GREAT ideas and he has never flip-flopped on issues. His voting record has always be consistant. You?
BigSm00th @ 8/23/2008 2:47 PM
for sure, after reading the revolution i don't see how you couldn't. that being said i think obama is certainly the lesser of two evils when it comes to him and mccain. if RP didn't get laughed at during the GOP debates he might've done better, those idiots like fred thompson and rudy giuliani made him sound like some sort of anarchist. i wish RP ran as a libertarian but they already have bob barr.

alexander supertramp RIP
LongIslandKnicksFan @ 8/23/2008 2:51 PM
Glad to hear you're a supporter of freedom. I just think a lot of people are misled. I see these supporters at the Obama events and it's sad to see how much they just go with someone who says the word "change". Same thing with when Hitlery was running. People do not research because they just want to believe the mainstream news.

I've been watching a lot of George Carlin video's on YouTube. What an amazing guy who told the truth.

What flip-flopping has Obama done?
LongIslandKnicksFan @ 8/23/2008 4:55 PM
The better question is what flip-flopping has Ron Paul done? Here is your answer for Obama:

One person never does make a huge difference. It's what they represent that indicates a certain futuristic change or remain the same. With McCain, more than likely it will remain the same. With Obama, he will be the first major change, if not in power, then as a symbol and it is the symbol that American's live by. I said the same thing about HIllary, being a woman. It's what she would have represented for women (our mothers). It's the people' who always make the change. It's just that we always (for the most part) let these guys get away with whatever they get away with. And it's not always by choice.

To say that Obama won't matter, would be kind of foolish in a certain aspect. But then again, I always' thought it was impossible for one' person to represent everyone, to speak for all walks of life here. It's so true.

I don't see any flip flopping there. Flip flopping is where you take one position and then reverse it. There, he's just making compromises rather than seeing everything in black and white.

I mean the Republicans would probably call this reasoning flip-flopping:
Walsh: In the long-term, we need a superb PG who can run an offense.
Republican Interviewer: Does Chris Duhon fit that description?
Walsh: No, but he's an improvement and the best that was currently available.
Republican: So you needed a superb PG and got someone who isn't a superb PG. Flip-flopper!

Are we supposed to believe there is flip flopping because of the title? The only thing this clip does is make the poster of it look foolish.

I just do not see positive and happy days ahead for the American economy, people involved, etc. I find it ridiculous that we have to poke our noses in everyone's affairs and try to police the world. These President's are just good speakers...sometimes. Obama is one of those great speakers who people can rally behind, but that's all he is able to do - is to get people to think there will be a change. The biggest change would be where everyone has the same income, where even people who do not work will be just like the hard-worker who works 9-5 every day. That is NOT a good thing. Read the book: Obama Nation and it will explain everything.

THE OBAMA NATION Leftist Politics and the Cult of Personality

Barack Obama stepped onto the national political stage when the then-Illinois State senator addressed the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Soon after Obama was elected to the U.S. Senate, author Jerome Corsi began researching Obama's personal and political background.

Scrupulously sourced with more than 600 footnotes, THE OBAMA NATION is the result of that research. By tracing Obama's career and influences from his early years in Hawaii and Indonesia, the beginnings of his political career in Chicago, his voting record in the Illinois legislature, his religious training and his adoption of Christianity through to his recent involvement in Kenyan politics, his political advisors and fundraising associates and his meteoric campaign for president, Jerome Corsi shows that an Obama presidency would, in his words, be “a repeat of the failed extremist politics that have characterized and plagued Democratic Party politics since the late 1960s.”

In this stunning and comprehensive new book, the reader will learn about: -Obama's extensive connections with Islam and radical politics, from his father and step-father's Islamic backgrounds, to his Communist and socialist mentors in Hawaii and Chicago, to his long-term and close associations with former Weather Underground heroes William Ayers and Bernadette Dohrn—associations much closer than heretofore revealed by the press
-Barack and Michelle's 20-year-long religious affiliation with the black-liberation theology of former Trinity United Church of Christ Reverend Jeremiah Wright, whose sermons have always been steeped in a rage first expressed by Franz Fanon , Stokely Carmichael and Malcolm X, a rage that Corsi shows has deep meaning for Obama
-Obama's continuing connections with Kenya, the homeland of his father, through his support for the candidacy of Raila Odinga, the radical socialist presidential contender who came to power amid Islamist violence and church burnings
-Obama's involvement in the slum-landlord empire of the Chicago political fixer Tony Rezko, who helped to bankroll Obama's initial campaigns and to purchase of Barack and Michelle's dream-home property.
-the background and techniques of the Obama campaign's cult of personality, including the derivation of the words “hope” and change”
-Obama's far-left domestic policy, his controversial votes on abortion, his history of opposition to the Second Amendment, his determination to raise capital-gains taxes, his impractical plan to achieve universal health care, and his radical plan to tax Americans to fund a global-poverty-reduction program
-Obama's naïve, anti-war, anti-nuclear foreign-policy, predicated on the reduction of the military, the eradication of nuclear weapons and an overconfidence in the power of his personality, as if belief in change alone could somehow transform international politics, achieve nuclear-weapons disarmament and withdrawal from Iraq without adverse consequences, for us, for the Iraqis or for Israel.

Meticulously researched and documented, THE OBAMA NATION is the definitive source for information on why and how Barack Obama must be defeated—not by invective and general attacks, but by detailed arguments that are well-researched and fact-based.

LongIslandKnicksFan: Are you really going to make up your opinion about Obama on Corsi's book? Corsi is the same guy that wrote a book helping George Bush and Dick Cheney! He wrote that swiftboat book about Kerry meanwhile nothing bad about Bush who hid from the draft. It's just BS! He is a conservative who will write a book that makes an liberal nominee look bad. There is an entire website built by the Obama campaign to fight bs rumors like Corsi's book. http://my.barackobama.com/page/content/f...

Please find credible and reliable sources when making a point. If you use Corsi, Michael Savage, O'Riely or Hannity as credible sources I will start 'The Onion,' 'The Daily Show,' and 'The Colbert Report.'

I'm just putting the information out there. I'm just hoping people understanding our votes do not count because they will vote whoever they want into office, especially with the electronic voting machines and there is PROOF on the Internet where they asked this man in court if there was a way to sway an election due to the electronic voting and they person said, "Yes".
Silverfuel @ 8/24/2008 1:26 PM
BTW: Please read about Barack Obama. This guy is not one of those 'born with a silver spoon in his mouth' privileged dudes. He worked his way to Columbia and Harvard Law. He did civil rights, taught constitutional law and Public Allies. He isn't a dumbass whose father has powerful friends. I dont think you are being fair about Obama. Are you just bitter that Ron Paul lost to McCain?

So then in that case McCain will win?
LongIslandKnicksFan @ 8/24/2008 1:30 PM
I'd like neither to "win". All the President is, is a puppet who makes speeches. The neo-cons will continue to do what they need to do whats right for them and their big business. It's always been about money, power and greed. We live in a shitty world man. I would have loved to see a constitutionalist in office like Ron Paul but he doesn't go with the agenda of corrupt government so therefore he won't "win".
