Off Topic · Election Day: Presidential Election 2008 (page 1)

It's 230am and I'm still awake.....I plan on getting up early to vote. For the primary, my name wasn't in that book with your address. So I had to put in a paper ballot. I have no idea why that was the case if I never changed my address.
Anyway I hope everyone remembers to vote. No matter who you chose just vote....
Ira@ 11/4/2008 7:58 AM
I like it. Today's the day. Ain't no line too d__n long. A guy with 11000+ posts should know.
Andrew@ 11/4/2008 8:05 AM
Just got back from voting....longer lines than normal.
franco12@ 11/4/2008 8:08 AM
I hope they are able to call it early & that this doesn't drag on.
TheGame@ 11/4/2008 8:21 AM
Just voted. I got there are early and it only took me 45 minutes total.
GO OBAMA.
Cosmic@ 11/4/2008 8:29 AM
I hate both these candidates.
As usual valid questions swirl as to whether or not either has a clue as to how to run a country let alone FIX a country spiraling out of control.
As usual both candidates, but specifically Obama, appear to be tied to some pretty shady characters and both candidates would rather deny involvement and deflect criticism rather than face it head on. Voter fraud of course is out there yet again with the dead voting, Obama trucking homeless people to vote for him, the Dallas Cowboys voting in Denver through Acorn...etc etc.
It's pathetic, it makes me sick, and I hope whoever wins both they and their VPs croak. Not that anyone third fourth or fifth in charge in this disintegrating government would be any better.
Yeah, I think it's that bad, and I think both candidates will be an epic disaster because they're already starting with one to begin with. It's like Bush was Layden and now Obama or McCain will be a couple of Isiah Thomas' out there.
I'm with Ahmadinejad on this election for he summed it up perfectly over the summer: (commenting on the three remaining top candidates for president, Hilary, Obama, McCain at the time) "This is it? This is the best you can do America?"
Yeah, it's that bad, no matter what you Obama fanboys think or what McCains "yeah but he can run a war" crusty old bastards think. We're doomed.
Markji@ 11/4/2008 9:28 AM
I voted 2 weeks ago. Easy, and "no damn lines" to speak of. Took 15 min. Good rap, Eny. I feel good that I voted. Can't complain and then not do something about it.
Cosmic, Ahmadinejad is out of his mind anyway so who cares what he thinks. When he and Bush are both gone, this world will be a better place. They have screwed it up as you say. With them gone, we can start fixing it. May take some time, but you got to start somewhere.

I voted at 6:20AM and 3 of the 6 districts that vote in the same place had lines of about 10.
JesseDark@ 11/4/2008 9:40 AM
Opps didn't see this thread. But my comment are the same. No problem cause I early voted.

I was pretty much undecided until last week as I really don't trust either candidate. I just got back from the voting booth at a school two blocks from my house and voted for who I trusted more. Lines were wrapped around the corner.
One benefit is going to work late using this election day as an excuse.
Hopefully we know who wins before heads touch pillows tonight. We really don't need another mess like '04.

don't talk about dj's woman that way.
arkrud@ 11/4/2008 10:15 AM
I was undecided for a while and then I made my mind. It should all go to dems to see what they are about with majority in Senate, Congress, and Dem President. It will be no excuses, no finger pointing. If they will fail it will be their OWN failure. Still believe that it is not so important in America who is in charge. I hope that we have common sense still in power.

scary to think someone as clueless as that can become a Governor of an entire state... & then we have "IT'S NOT A TOOOMUH!" Arnold governing the state i currently live in.
nyk4ever@ 11/4/2008 10:22 AM
obama!
jazz74@ 11/4/2008 10:42 AM
voted this morning. the lines started to pick up when i left at 7:30. big election day. voted for obama and he seemed to have jersey locked anyway.
PresIke@ 11/4/2008 11:30 AM
just watched palin on CNN after she voted...
i still can't believe this person is even considered as a remote possibility of being president. i'm enraged nearly every time i hear her comment.
when asked who she voted for she said she's not telling because she's exercising her right to privacy...which she thinks is "pretty cool" about America...
just the way she said sounded defensive and foolish.
Andrew@ 11/4/2008 11:56 AM
