I think Larry Flynt might be trying to make a point about all the bailouts. It's too funny to be a real request.

Takes the king of sarcasm to sniff this one out...pun intended..

I was going to post this. Larry Flynt is a political activist. And he is making an excellent point.

I love how we love to get tough with the people who are most helpless and vulnerable, but the rich get to strong-arm the people into enacting socialism so we can pay for golden parachutes and corporate welfare. Just gross and disgusting. Flynt's point is noted.

The hell with Flynt.

As to the bailouts going on the most infuriating one is the auto industry. So let me get this straight, we got 3 companies, all floundering because their products suck and there's too much to choose from.

So we give them billions of dollars.

To do what? Stay afloat long enough to lose more money because again their products suck, theres too much to choose from, and people dont have the money to buy new cars as often as they used to?

F-That.

Shoulda folded up GM. Forced the other two to merge. Then BAM: You got one company that consumers would converge on and it just MIGHT make money as a result.

In the past nobody bailed out failing companies. Why now?

All these billions of dollars given to banks who failed cause they stink, auto makers who failed cause they stink, and the government claims it's for our benefit!?

YEAH OKAY!!!

The 700B dollar plan: That amounts to 2,000 dollars per American. Got a family of four? That's 8,000 dollars. So, I ask you, to stimulate the economy and save the American people would you not rather see that 700B split up and given to American tax payers? Or... to a few greedy companies that are doomed to fail no matter what!?

Oh, BTW, the 700B got the attention of the press. The actual figure is nearly 6 TRILLION DOLLARS that's been infused into the economy and the businesses that make it.

So, now, you're talking: 17,000 dollars per American. Got a family of four? That's 68,000 Dollars. So, YOU TELL ME what would save America. Giving greedy companies 6 Trillion dollars? Or splitting that evenly between each of our roughly 350,000,000 citizens!

Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..... Wanna fix this country? You bail out the citizens who make it run. Not a couple of corrupt companies!!!!

Just think about that fellas, think long and hard, 17K in the pocket of each and every American citizen? Or... a few corrupt companies getting it all and STILL sinking like a rock.

I think thats the point Flynt is trying to make Cosmic

LOL I'll be honest, I didn't even read what he had to say, I just saw "bailout" and had blood squirting out my eyes and felt the need to rant.

It's a good rant though I think don't you agree?

I can't think of anyone who would disagree with my assessment on this bailout crap.

I mean, come'on, you want to save the country, you bail out the CITIZENS who made it what it is. Not a couple of idiot companies. The American Way used to be that if one company failed another was born and people prospered. No more I guess...

Again though!!!! 6 Trillion Dollars infused into the economy over the last 9 months. Obama wants to add another 800B. So that's nearly 7 Trillion Dollars now!!!!! SEVEN TRILLION DOLLARS!!! For what? A half dozen companies!? Are you kidding me!?

When....you could now play each and every US citizen, even if they're 2 months old, NOW you're up to 20,000 DOLLARS PER PERSON!!!!!!! A Family of 3? 60 Grand! A family of 5!? 100 GRAND!!!

You mean to tell me handing out that money to the citizens wouldn't stimulate the economy!?!?!?!?

*punches hole in wall*

15 billion for the auto industry is more infuriating than 700 billion for the banking industry???
