Off Topic · OT: Obama Suggests He Prefers Playoffs for College Football (page 1)

So just at the end of his announcing Blair and and Panetta as his nominees for Homeland Security and CIA directors, respectively, he commented on college football (I didn't catch the first part of what he said) but in he ended the press conference:

"That's why we need a playoff."

And walked away from the podium.

The CNN anchor was like, "Did Obama just suggest he wants to see a playoff system over the current BCS system?"

repeating this a few times and then explaining that the dispute over the system.

He said the same thing in the pre-election MNF interview with both candidates.

yeah, he has executive authority. guess bush's increasing the power of the executive branch could lead to something positive.

The ESPN ticker last night said he was having second thoughts about unilaterally altering the BCS system. Somebody from the BCS mafia must have threatened him.

The whole system is just sad. They exploit these kids so much and then we cant even get a true winner year in and year out. Why do we stand for this?
