In these sheety economic times I thought that we could use our UK network to try and help eachother out professionally.
If I make a LinkedIn group for UK members would anyone be interested in trying to use it for professional purposes?

When someone thinks a thread is important, but that thread hasn't gotten many replies, someone will "bump" it so it appears as one of the most recent threads

I used to play in Union County, NJ all the time... Ash Brook and Galloping Hill weren't thte best courses, but they were cheap with season pass. There was a decent country club in Scotch Plains (can't remember the name) which didn't require membership to play at. I started playing in middle school and stopped right around high school graduation.
Now, I'm looking to get back into it because I have a bachelor party in June that is (1) already paid for and (2) in Tampa specifically because the guy getting married is great at golf and I'll be in his foursome as a groomsman. Everyone thinks I'm going to play but be completely unprepared... so I want to have my swing down pat so I can win free drinks on the course.
My parents are in Galveston, TX, and the course surprisingly survived Hurricane Ike. They dumped $20 million into the course right before the storm hit, but selected grass and bushes and trees that are known to survive hurricanes. So I'm kind of excited to get my form back on a basically brand new course, which completely withstood a hurricane

that sounds awesome man. good luck!
Very good idea.
sweet, I'll put something together
SupremeCommander, I keep forgeting we have the same origins. I believe its Ashbrook that doesnt require a membership. I used to play 9 holes of pitch and put all the time. About 70-100 yards a hole. Its a great time. There's also a place between between Westfield ave and Jerusalem road.
Clark White Diamond, Plainfield Red Tower, Richmond Beer gardens and Hot 22... only the strong survive.
I always thought a 'bump' was when someone at a party offered you coke because you were dragging ass. Not my cup of tea personally... always thought thats what tequila was for.
