Has anyone read the books?
Unless the books have Tara and Sookie nude in them, I am not interested.

Is the show worth watching? I just got through The Wire (twice) and need something to fill the void. I heard True Blood was worth watching but it seems like people are into it just because it's different. Anna Paquin is hot so I may watch just because of that
yeah, and anna gets naked and her breasts are definately worth it. you wont watch an x-men movie the same again.
Last night was interesting, it definitely furthered my dislike of Bill and Sookie and I think the entire fan base is starting to feel the same way.
show gets better and better. it will be interesting to see what happens when bill and sookie get back to la. with the !@#$ hitting the fan. mary ann has proven to be quite a villain. its good to see eggs a victim and not a villain though i think when it is all said and done he will have a tragic ending. sam continues being the tragic hero. i like him more and more this season. now lafyette is really back in the mix and will investigate the bedlam. though i would like sookie to die, i do like bill more this season. can't wait until next week.
i was left with lots of questions after sunday's episode. which is a good indicator for me if i am into a show.....the heart eating (hunter's souflee lol) scene was crazy. is that how maryann turns people into her kind or can someone escape her spell? so far, sam and daphne, both shape shifters are the only ones (and it seems sookie is impervious to anything) are the only ones that she cannot make black eyes out of? also, godric i think is going to be an interesting link btwn the forces of good and evil here. satan playing the saviour theme perhaps? i dont know but he seems like a pretty powerful dude whose full agenda hasnt been revealed yet. i thought eric was made out to be a pus*y on this past show - he was portrayed as a toughguy in prior episodes and now they got him playin the role of godric's lapdog....wtf? my question is when are bill and eric gonna throw down over sookie? eric is obviously the 'stronger' of the two but that plot piece can get interesting also. and, although he's portrayed as an idiot, i really like jason stackhouse...he's a funny, likeable dude that always ends up in a bad situation that his naivetee got him into, but nevertheless is always bangin a hottie.
great show, great direction of plot, next week looks crazy too b/c i think tara and eggs find out they ate daphne's heart......

i actually like eric this season. he actually has a personality and shows compassion. he trully cares about the vampire community with his strange justice ( dungeon with lafyette). He also came to sookie's aid RIGHT AWAY when he could have for godric. He isnt as cold blooded as i thought. i do think jason is likable and its amazing he gets in these dangerous situations just as much as sookie. godric is a VERY interesting character because he has an emotional element that was never displayed from the other vamps. he might be the one to save the day again against mary ann.

great leap there. you may be right, them tying together somehow - godric, sam and the stackhouses join-up to save mankind??? it would be interesting to see how those alignments start to shape themselves. great great season so far - its one of those shows that you stick around after the credits to see previews of the next week.
i didn't think it was a great episode - maybe i have to rewatch it but the whole godric thing was a dissapointment.
the whole maryann storyline is moving at a snail's pace. why is tara so important to her?
sookie + eggs are taking bad acting to a whole other level...
and why didn't sam just turn into a dog when the cops showed up and run away?
i think godric is a swerve and is going to do something against the vampires.
- he didn't kill hugo (who was the traitor) but killed gabe when he said "godric, it's me". kind of like protecting his cover.
- he didn't talk about how he was captured and said they did not mistreat him.
- talked about his dissapointment in vampirekind.
that was episode 8...so if a war or something is going to happen, they need to pick up the pace.

Dj - how do you watch it online?
it's usually up on this site within an hour after airing on the east coast:
http://truebloodstreaming.blogspot.com/but if you want to see more shows and movies, then ninja video is an awesome site:
http://www.ninjavideo.net/ - you just need to launch the "ninjavideo helper" pop up link on the top of their page to view their stuff
I honestly don't know why I keep coming back to this show...I think it is pretty awful
i thought last night's show was brilliant. it was a show that helped you catch your breath. a calm before the storm once sookie and bill returns. lafeyette REALLY represented last night like he did in the first season kicking eggs !@#$! i cheered loudly, tho i know eggs is the victim and kind of feel sorry for him. i dont understand why sam cant run away. maybe because he know she will find him? i guess she wants to sacrifice him because he scorned her years before. the best and most tragic moment was the ending. what happened to godric was a shame as he was a very interesting character. eric continues to impress me showing a variety of emotional ranges though it was dirty what he did to sookie but he was determined. now the love triangle has officially begun. the scene with sookie, eric and godric was probably the most introspective and touching scene in the whole series, though the sookie and jason scene earlier in the show was almost as good. finally in the next episode the dallas crew comes home. this will be the most interesting. we know it was maryann who attacked sookie for whatever reason in the beginning but now we will see why. then finally jason is becoming proactive in getting things done, though his willpower is very susceptible to maryann. last three shows will be interesting. cant wait to next week.
Godric was no loss, his character was weak
Eric is getting more interesting
Bill + Sookie continue to annoy the hell out of me
Lafayette has always been a highlight of the show and I am glad he is getting more action - I never liked Eggs so I am glad L stepped in and beat his ass
The next few episodes look interesting but I thought last nights was pretty weak outside of Lafayette stepping in and Godric dying (which was anticlimactic if you ask me). They are really dragging out the Maryanne storyline and need to speed it up.
How and why did godric die?

How and why did godric die?
He got tired of being a vampire after 2000 years so he stood on the top of a building as the sun came up.
the love triangle is cheese101.
but looks like the bon temps confrontation is on the horizon...
sookie looked good last night...and lafayette is about to go nuts - since he's been fed upon by the vamps, i wonder if he can be put under maryann's spell?
it seems the virgin storyline is a side bar to make everyone forget about what's going on elsewhere...but i have a feeling it's not going to end well for them.
so i saw it last night - pretty lame episode, but a few gems nonetheless. sam and the drunk cop forming a bond? maybe they set up a trap whereby sam allows himself to get captured so that they can spring a trap to kill maryann? who knows....also, eric sookie bill love triangle is kinda lame like dj said - but looking forward to bill maybe stabbing eric with a wooden stake so that sookie can be freed from his 'spell'????
i think lafayette will emerge as a central figure in the last three episodes - could they potentially align w the vamps to get maryann? last 3 episodes should be fun.
the thing about sookie - sh got a great body but i keep looking at those gap teeth and it totally turns me off to her being sexxy.
maryann cant be killed, at least thats how it is in the books.
The maryann character sucks already. Time for her to go

if she is supposedly some sort of diety, then yeah, she can't. so i dont know what they are going to do. but they have changed the storyline from the books. according to the books, lafayette was supposed to be the first victim with his heart cut out and left in the car, not the "psychic". so we will see how they take care of this storyline.
ok...so now we have 2 new characters...the queen and it looks like the devil...
is sookie an angel?
and i didn't think it was possible but sookie may just be a worse actor than keanu reeves...
