I always reply under the quote because that's where the computer puts the cursor. I never understood why some people post above the quote.
I agree. This is very serious. Maybe some people feel that what they have to say is more important than the quote they're referencing, but without the quote, they wouldn't have an ything to say, so it's definitely weird, man! I just put it where the computer tells me to, man, and it's always right on the money. The computer knows what it's doing.

Anyway, I just do it because it's basically a commonplace standard procedure on message boards. That's the traditional way to reply. It doesn't matter which way you reply though.

I like to comment right in the middle of a quote so I have an excuse to use bold and underline at the same time. Also i'm obsessive-compulsive.
