Woods to give up golf?

Tiger Woods is ready to quit golf to save his marriage, according to media reports.

Quoting a source close to the family, Woods and his wife Elin Nordegren are trying to reconcile, but it will be on his wife's term, meaning no golf, Britain's Sun tabloid reported today.

"They have agreed to try and rebuild their marriage, but Elin will be the one calling the shots. It will be a long time before he's travelling the globe playing golf unless Elin's by his side," the source is quoted as saying.

"Tiger will have to work long and hard to get her to trust him again. Quitting golf shows he is willing to sacrifice something he loves so much to protect his family."

The billionaire golfer is struggling to repair his marriage and his public image as numerous women have stepped forward claiming to have been his sexual partners.

The scandal began a day after American Thanksgiving, when Woods crashed his SUV outside his Orlando mansion amid suspicious circumstances.

Nordegren may change her mind about letting Woods anywhere near her as new revelations come to light that Woods was allegedly spending the couples' fortune on high-priced Manhattan escorts.

Woods was paying a king's ransom for liaisons with women says a well-know Hollywood madam, reports the New York Post.

According to Michelle Braun, Woods repeatedly paid for the services of her company, Global Travel Network Inc., which was supplying him with young women to meet.

Braun said Tiger had a particular favourite from Braun's stable, a particular woman from Manhattan: Loredana Jolie.

"She's a stunning girl," Braun is quoted as saying, "He went out with her four or five times. She took part in group sex. They met up in 2006 or early 2007. I'd say he paid $15,000 for her."

According to the Post, Braun was recently sentenced to three years' probation and six months of house detention after pleading guilty to money laundering and transporting a woman across state lines for the purpose of prostitution.

Braun said that Woods would pay "$30,000 to $40,000 a weekend" in cities where he was playing tournaments. Braun said Woods' escapades would usually involve more than one girl at a time.

Braun's spokesman produced tax forms that showed Holly Sampson and Jamie Jungers, two women previously linked to Woods, were working for Braun's company.

The escort, Loredana Jolie, told the New York Post that Woods showered her with gifts, including a diamond ring, diamond earrings and a watch.

Meanwhile, website TMZ is reporting that Woods' lawyers are blocking the publication of explicit pictures of Woods by several British tabloids that may have been taken by several women who are being connected to the scandal.

"Our client is not aware of any images," the lawyers said in a letter obtained by TMZ. "And in any event he would not have consented to any such photographs being taken."

maybe his wife just isn't freaky like that in the sheets... when you have the whole world at your feet like Tiger does, just being hot probably doesn't cut it anymore... i think Tiger's an idiot but then again i don't think any of us can relate to being in his shoes either.

Tiger will be back on the top of the World soon after he decides to come back to playing golf... if Kobe Bryant can come back from his fall from Grace, so can Tiger Woods... people in this country are traditionally very forgiving of celebrities & athletes who engage in extra marital affairs... it's when they start cheating the sport that they take big offense... i highly doubt many golf fans really give 2 shits about Tiger cheating on his wife with hired hookers.

Tiger was not ready to get married and evolve his relationship, or he was never around to do so. A hot wife is still a wife, not an obsession flirty kind of thing. Looking at some of that texting that was printed is all cute but its not what married people do. That kind talk don't happen anymore, and IM not saying thats a bad thing. You trade that in for other things and evolve the relationship. I don't know what kind of marriage he has but its obvious Tiger was not ready to settle down. My advice to him is not to "do the right thing" for his sponsers but for his heart. Tiger might be a good guy but he has to know what that really means. Being a good husband and father sometimes means just being there. You don't know when the great moments in family life happen. Sometimes that baby just takes his/her first steps, belly laughs, or another moment happens that is just great. Sometimes you wife or kids don't feel well and you gotta step up and provide comfort. Even if you thought you were coming home from a tough day and were expecting a quiet evening, or even a romantic one. You gotta be there in either event. A marriage grows over the years. After 23 years I can say we have our ups and downs, good years and bad, and sickness and health. Our kids are now teens and its more of just us again and while many divorce at this time, if its good its really good. We have almost a lifetime together and still a life time ahead!

You gotta give up the skank life at some point. Tiger gotta realize he can get all he wants because he is famous and rich. Thats easy. What he might find really tough is being a father and husband. Just can't be a billionaire and show up for that role. Now his wife and him might be in love with the idea of being the handsome couple with a billion dollars and beautiful kids and maybe both being young really don't get it. Sure she is drop dead hot but looks alone don't do it in the long run. Im not laying blame on either, but its obvious Tigers behavior is way the hell out of line and before he does this "be a better father or husband" he gotta really figure out what that really means and if he wants be that. Tiger can't be a "playa", husband and "mail it in rich dad" at once. I can't imagine this marriage being reconciled because I don't think they were able to really put it together to begin with. Sure they "love" each other but she don't love him right now and he has not acted like some who loves another. They might be in love with the ideal of it. He'll lay low for few months, then come clean, win the masters and thats all anyone really cares about. But to do this he has to decide what a marriage really means. If he disolves his marriage, at least its honest and he can move forward.

I hope Tiger follows his heart and what ever he decides he is true to himself and when he can do that, he can then be real. Time for Tiger to grow up and not just be a great golfer but to be a MAN.
