Off Topic · Progress: what it be, what it do? (page 1)

outer space. the universe is a vast place and we know nothing about it, we havent even begun to scrape the surface of what lies out beyond our planet. i mean it's seriously mind-boggling.

I feel the same way. I envision a future where people in weird habitation spheres, like the Death Star but friendlier, look back at us silly guys that had computers and trees and paper and snow and the seasons.

It's the last, and final, physical frontier. Physical frontier. Our minds will go and go, but you can only touch so much and space has not been touched.

I know its not 100 percent happy. That doesnt exist and is just the diametric opposite of being 100 percent miserable. Thinking one is 100 percent happy would certify a vapid existence where there is complete lack of awareness.

One needs a little pain and hardship to be able to appreciate the good. Like needing evil to know good.

As far as outer space. Sounds great, but here in America we cant even get a bullet train system and decent high speed, internet penetration like other countries that are supposedly inferior. We're too hung up on reality shows and political in-fighting to gain a true technological focus and realize our potential.
