I don't know where I said anything was funny or even addressed the article. Don't assume. And comparing the nazi (I consider it far too courteous to even capitalize) genocide of an entire group of people to this situation is nowhere near the ballpark.
In my opinion, and with much respect to the moderators here for running such a thoroughly engaging, vibrant website, what we have here is a failure to moderate. All race talk should be banned. Allowing things like that title and what Sebstar said is a travesty.
There are much better ways to title this topic than 'honkeyball'. If you think this is okay, then you probably hate kittens and your own children.
I am not a bigot, but the topic title didn't bother me one bit. It's kind of funny. There is a huge difference between posting ideas in a topic that references racial stereotypes in support of an argument, and titling this funny ass thread with "honkeyball" (I agree, Chappelle would love this thread AND the new KKK league it references). It's just so ludicrous that a few bigots in Georgia think a bunch of no-jumping loser racists would be able to draw an audience. The only hoops those folks are really interested in are the sort that go around the neck.
Oh, but I do hate kittens, mostly b/c I am severely allergic to them.

I love kittens. We have a cat here, she is a few years old. Adopted from the shelter. I hate it when people buy animals from breeders when so many animals are going to die at the shelter. It makes me almost cry. Animals are so cool because 1) they have fur 2) they don't do mean things.
But, see, with something like this. This league has no shot of succeeding, it will just fail quickly and go away. So there's no need for an uproar because it's just a stunt, you know? And the more credibility you give a stunt the greater chance it has of not being a stunt.
I agree about animals. Going to be getting a dog for my kids next year (from a shelter). I don't agree about animals never being mean, though. I have met a number of cats who seemed downright antagonistic. But maybe that's just the misinterpretation of a dog-lover.

They just seem angry, but all you have to do is show them who is boss. And then you pet the cat, cat say "Oh okay, this is nice" and then it purrs. That's how it works with cats. They're sly and cunning, but also gentle and they feel that they have to put up these defenses so they don't get hurt emotionally.
Please. Honkey isn't offensive, it's laughable. We whitey's have had some privledge in society for quite some time now. We don't get followed when we go into stores, the cops don't pull us over because of what we look like, people don't make negative assumptions primarily as a result of our skin color. We can't really take too much offensive to the term Honkey. It doesn't carry any signifigance and it isn't derrogatory. Christ, the hicks in the south call their music Honkeytonk.
The fact that they want to start an all white basketball league in the South is assanine, but then again, so are many people in the South. Having gone to college in Virigina, I can attest to that. If this gets traction, which I hope it won't, then they will have some serious constitional challenges.
