Can't wait to see some more of Jacob and 'Esau'

or that jacob + man in black turn out to be aliens?

it's possible.. i'm a firm believer that the lost "island" is some anti-matter from a different dimension that just happens to pass through earth at certain times and ms.hawking has shown us that windows open and close for when to get to the island, so i think that theory holds some water.

Clears up a lot of unexplained items. Set seems to have been behind a great many things, including setting up John to die knowing Ben's jealousy. It was great to see Ben come to the realization. The expression on his face when he said you used me. Also, it appears that Set was the figure in the chair and not Jacob that Locke saw. I just feel bad for Locke how he was used as a puppet.

i thought it was jacob in the chair b/c the ash circle wasn't broken when they entered it.

what does everyone think about them on the plane? alt-reality or them showing how they actually get off the island? kinda weird that both christian and locke's knives are missing, seems like jacob's doing.

not yet sure about the purpose of the alternate timeline...but am very excited about the prospects of jack healing locke's paralysis in it.

in fact, if/when the timelines merge, it would be very interesting if jack does heal locke and that's why locke's able to walk in the very first episode of the show. and jack was in the jungle at the time of the timeline merge...which is why he wakes up so far away from the crash. of course they won't have any recollection of it but it would be a very cool tie in to the very first episode.

also, i think juliet knew it worked b/c she got flashes like desmond when he turned the failsafe.

the question now is "where is home" for smokey and will him leaving the island be the end of mankind?

and i think it's obvious that jacob is now in sayid...and by looking at the lost supper pic i posted in this thread, it makes sense now with sayid as judas to smokey's jesus.

unbelievable season premiere last night. the alternate/parralel reality stuff was genius - right down to how they would go white background to black background when switching back and forth. even as strangers in the plane that lands, jack seems to aomehow recognize desmond on the plane, then desmond disappears. where did he go?

i too like the budding relationship btwn locke and jack and believe jack will help locke walk again. should be interesting to see how they merge the two realities. i dont believe we have seen the end of juliet either.

i also want to see more of how the island came to be underwater in that one scene and at what point in time that happened.

i think it was too. otherwise, it wouldnt make sense that he told hurley he died an hour ago when he told him how to save sayid.

interesting, i would have thought the opposite? how do you see sayid in the role of judas - if he was jacob, then wouldnt he represent good to smokey's bad?

djsunyc @ 2/3/2010 9:48 AM
i think the island is under water b/c they set off the bomb and w/ the electromagnetic properties, the island was sucked down towards the earth's core.

i think it's evident the MIB is bad b/c he has no faith in man...i used the judas/jesus relationship in terms of one guy going against the other.

but was the ash circle meant to protect jacob by keeping the other dude out? or was the ash circle meant to keep the other dude stuck inside?

pretty cool season opener. definitely reminded me that trying to figure out the show is futile. just enjoy the ride.
