Jay Electronica for sure and to a bit of a lesser extend J. Cole

Talib Kweli, Mos Def and Common been holdin it down for a while though

blackstar - mos def and talib - those two guys go WAAAY deep on their collaborations

seb, this whole thing with guru is completely f'd. i think for sure that letter was written by solar, i mean that youtube you put up of lost and found was whack as fuck. and guru "says" that this is his best work? either the dude was completely out of touch with reality or he was laying some serious pipe.

in regards to jay electronica - dude is amazing. i started listening to him when i heard exhibit c and since then i've pretty much heard everything else he's done. check out Act 1: Eternal Sunshine and the track Renaissance Man. he has serious flow and is a fish out of water in todays hip-hop.

A Yo, 4ever...peep what Bumpy Knucks has to say about this situation

(AllHipHop News) Rapper Bumpy Knuckles has lashed out at MC Solar, claiming he is releasing bad information to the public on behalf of the late Guru of Gangstarr, who died from cancer on Monday (April 19th) at the age of 43.

Bumpy recorded with Guru and DJ Premier in particular on a number of records, including the classic track “The Militia,” from Gangstarr’s 1998 classic, Moment of Truth.

Bumpy compared Solar to Yolanda Saldívar, the woman who stalked Tejano singer Selena.

Saldivar, who was the president of Selena’s fan club, eventually shot and killed the 23-year-old singer.

“It is like that lil fat lady that was obsessed with selena(rip) he stalkd my boy and held something over his head. IT WILL COME OUT!” Bumpy Knuckles Tweeted today (April 21st).

Bumpy, who is known for his no-holds barred style of rhyming, labeled Solar a “sick f***in weirdo” and implied there might be a financial motive to blame for the controversy surrounding Guru’s statements, which were allegedly made prior to his death.

“ONCE YOU GET THE LIFE INSURANCE MONEY YOU WILL PROBABLY MOVE OUTTA THE USA!! UK JAPAN CHINA & EVERYWHERE ELSE,” Bumpy continued.

The rapper also called upon Solar to stop releasing statements and release the details of the autopsy conducted on the famous rapper.

“IF IM WRONG PROVE ME WRONG! GURU HAS A FAMILY THAT DIDNT BEAT HIM UP & PHYSICALLY ABUSE HIM YOU *****MADE WHORE!”

Guru’s family released a statement today claiming that Guru had been comatose since suffering a heart attack in February, casting doubts on a series of statements allegedly made by the rapper prior to his death.

“Guru was in a coma from mid February until his death and never regained consciousness,” the rapper’s family said in a statement today. “Early on the morning of April 19th, he became hypertensive due to low blood pressure. He again went into cardiac arrest and slipped away from us. Guru died far too young but he was, and we are, proud of all his many legendary musical contributions.”

Bumpy has to know whats up - been around for years and one of the most respected dudes in the game.

Man this is all so f'd up.. why would dude turn on his whole entire family? for what? this just adds a whole lot more fuel and speculation to the fire. "partner" lol

Premier keeping it 100 and righteous. Needed this:

"IT WAS A SAD DAY FOR ME TO GET CONFIRMATION ON THE DEATH OF A MAN WHO I WILL CONTINUE TO CALL MY BROTHER, KEITH ELAM, BETTER KNOWN AS GURU OF THE LEGENDARY GANG STARR.

FROM 1988-2004, WE EXPERIENCED SO MUCH SUCCESS TOGETHER THAT WE WERE ABLE TO EXPAND OUR BUSINESSES INDEPENDENTLY AND GIVE EACH OTHER WHAT GURU CALLED “CREATIVE SPACE”, BEFORE PLANNING TO REUNITE FOR OUR 7TH LP WHEN THE TIME WAS RIGHT. TRAGICALLY, WE WILL NEVER REACH THAT DAY.

I’VE BEEN ASKED TO COMMENT ON A LETTER SPEAKING ILL OF ME WHICH WAS SUPPOSEDLY WRITTEN BY GURU IN HIS DYING DAYS. ALL I WILL SAY ABOUT IT IS THAT OUR TIME TOGETHER WAS BEAUTIFUL, WE BUILT A HIP HOP LEGACY TOGETHER, AND NO ONE CAN RE-WRITE HISTORY OR TAKE AWAY MY LOVE FOR HIM. ONE THING I WOULD NEVER DO IS PLAY AROUND WITH THE TRUTH ABOUT HIS LIFE.

I WILL CELEBRATE GURU’S LIFE… I WILL HONOR HIS MEMORY… I WILL GRIEVE WITH THE ELAM FAMILY OVER HIS UNTIMELY DEATH… I WILL REMEMBER THE GANG STARR FOUNDATION AND ALL OF THE ORIGINAL MEMBERS OF GANG STARR WHO CAME BEFORE ME – WE ALL KNOW EACH OTHER… MOSTLY, I WILL CHERISH EVERYTHING WE CREATED TOGETHER AS GANG STARR, FOREVER. I’M GONNA MISS HEARING HIS SIGNATURE MONOTONE VOICE WHEN HE WALKS IN THE ROOM, BUT THE SONGS WILL ALWAYS BRING IT BACK TO ME….HIS RHYME FLOWS WERE INSANE, AND I WILL NEVER REMOVE HIM FROM MY HEART AND SOUL…….REST IN PEACE TO THE MAN WHO FELT “SATISFACTION FROM THE STREET CROWD REACTION” … I LOVE YOU GOO…….DJ PREMIER"

seb you seen the newest stuff out about solar/guru? both of these are from illseed.

Let me tell you something there is so much going on, it is CRAZY! So, I was on f**ksolar.com and saw some disturbing information. I mean, "what else" you may ask. Before I continue, Solar has not responded to any interview requests by AHH to give his side. So, now...peep what Toronto Jazzmatazz trumpeter Brownman said about Guru and Solar:

“Guru was essentially a puppet,” he said, echoing Denham’s allegations. “It’s really hard to say this stuff out loud. I’m speaking about a hero of mine. I grew up with Gang Starr and Jazzmatazz. To stand onstage next to him was a thrill.”

“As the group solidified, I guess he felt more comfortable treating Guru like a punk in front of us and it was so disdaining to watch. He would yell at Guru like a little boy and I’ve never seen a man disrespect somebody else like this before.”

“It was like an abused wife relationship and he made all the same excuses: ‘Why does he talk to you like that? It’s my fault, Brown, he helps me get in shape.’ He rationalized it. I would just have to shake my head — ‘Okay, you’re a grown man, it’s your life’ — and resolved to never let anyone treat me like that. I wasn’t hired to be the Jazzmatazz judge and jury; I was hired to play trumpet and I did that to the best of my abilities.”

Also, according to F**K Solar - WHO HATE SOLAR CRAZILY - they are alleging that he sold Guru's house while he was in a coma. They charge that on the 18th of MARCH, Guru somehow signed off on his crib being sold. But, he should have been unable to do that in his condition. These monies amounted to the tune of $329,600.00.

Peep the rest:

In the Rockland County NY newspaper, “The Journal News” there were recent public notices of Real Estate transactions. One of them listed Keith Elam (Guru) purchasing/selling a condo in Nanuet, Aspen Court for around $325,000 on…. 3/18/2010. Guru was still in coma at that moment…..
But check this out. About a year ago he also bought a house for $329,600.00 on 03/26/2009

Is that Guru shyt bizarre or what? Its like a movie storyline or something. A well known artist is a substance abuser and in a transition period in his life and he finds himself completely taken advantage of by a cunning manipulator. SMH at all of this. The fukk was going with Guru?
nyk4ever @ 5/10/2010 7:11 PM
yo seb.. more updates.. solar was caught red-handed making up statements and putting guru's name on them.
