Are oohah, playa and Isles all banned?
Is there a simple way to know when someone is banned?
none of them are banned as far as i know... they've all been posting in the past few days.
sebstar has chosen to take a personal leave of absence in recent weeks.
some other guys have been banned & come back under different screennames.
I've seen them posting too ... and then abruptly stop posting.
I'm here...for now.
There's no way to know when someone is banned. It's kinda like the mob. The person in question just disappears. As Clemenza says, "Won't see him no more."
here today, gone tomorrow... you never know who could be next.

Yes, that is how you tell. The ban takes effect right in the middle of a post.
What you'll notice is
I would have sworn the Oohah was on the verge of being suspended. He got in a quick but nasty arguement with Martin in some other thread.

how do we know this is the real martin? maybe it's just a banned poster incognito?
we should have a link to the banned list, and include references to "Pat the Rat" and "Queen James"

In the NYC school system we are becoming "rubric" crazy. Everything we do now has to have a rubric (a scoring tool that teachers use to assess student performance) so a student will know what they have to do to be successful, and the specific reasons why they are not receiving an optimum grade.
There has to be a rubric set up for UK banning. I'm putting down some general ideas, the specifics are for others.
