Had a thing for her back in the day....

A couple of great performances from the Johnny Cash show. Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Ray Charles does a great version of Cash's "Ring of Fire". You're up Crush....

RIP Bobby Womack

Grew up on 70s soul and Womack was one of the greats. Rest in Peace.

RIP Johnny Winter.

On my Ipad so I cant watch embeded clips, wish there was a workaround.

^ I saw Johnny Winter as the opening act at MSG in the 70s, might have been for Queen. He had a serious drug and alcohol problem back then so you can guess how his set went. My favorite work of Winter's was as a producer and contributor on Muddy Water's "Hard Again". Really a kick ass blues album from start to finish, one of my favorites by Waters. Definitely worth a listen. Rest in peace blues man.

I really liked his work with Muddy. I was supposed to go see him a few years ago with a friend. It fell thru but at the time I think he only played sitting down. The show I missed got a great review.

This track is in celebration of finally getting my shoulder fixed. Turns out the ivy league orthopedic surgeon I went to misdiagnosed me as having a rotator cuff tear. A year later it got worse so I went for a second opinion. I actually had bone spurs on my bicep and my rotator cuff, hurt like a mofo. Surgery went well, and I can raise my arm outstretched for the first time in more than 2 years, when I first got hurt. A few months of PT ahead, but it already feels better. Get to play bball again in a few months, I'm pysched.

Amazing performance last night. At the garden on my birthday. I don't think there is anyway I can get back to see him but that would be amazing.

This is the song you need to listen to if you want to learn lead guitar.

Gustav, I missed this. Glad to hear your shoulder is doing better. I appreciate the advice you have given me with my issues. Currently I am leaning towards surgery as the cortisone shot helped but hasn't fixed things. Good to hear another success story.
