A year later it got worse so I went for a second opinion. I actually had bone spurs on my bicep and my rotator cuff, hurt like a mofo. Surgery went well, and I can raise my arm outstretched for the first time in more than 2 years, when I first got hurt. A few months of PT ahead, but it already feels better. Get to play bball again in a few months, I'm pysched.
Gustav, I missed this. Glad to hear your shoulder is doing better. I appreciate the advice you have given me with my issues. Currently I am leaning towards surgery as the cortisone shot helped but hasn't fixed things. Good to hear another success story.

No problem Crush, havent been posting here in a while either. Bout to have the same surgery on the other shoulder. Tried cortisone but the process of getting a deep tissue shot made it worse. Will be 4 years of this ish before its all said and done. Hope you have better results.

I have been doing an online pt regiment and I began lifting again. Much lighter weights but so far so good. My shoulder used to wake me up at night. A friend of mine had the surgery and it was a six month recovery time. I am fine with no pain and lifting lighter. I have regained a lot of my shooting range as well. Before I started I couldn't put my arm over my head.

Glad to hear you're doing better Crush, I know what a pain in the ass this condition is. Unfortunately I had to put off surgery on my other shoulder because of the move and other, more pressing issues. I recovered from the surgery in 4 months the last time. The trick for me was doing my own PT, light stretching exercises starting the day I came home from surgery. My doctor couldn't believe how fast I recovered. Just something to think about if you have surgery. Unfortunately been stretching since the other shoulder was giving me problems, light lifting, but its getting worse so its not a question of if but when. Continued success on the PT.
