14-20---learn everything you can about electric charging of cars and try to be the first to your market area with a station. in 20 years you will be a multi millionaire and retired.

yeah, I can see that.

Do they have anything but "Trickle" type charging? Volt takes like 10 hours to recharge.

This technology is still in its infancy. Electricians are going to have good business installing devices for owners. We not talking extension cords either. Im thinking 220 volt must be the way to go. But it depends on how the batteries take it. Fast or slow?

I don't know much but I do know GE is making charging units, I have seen them in some advertisements.

It is a great opportunity but most likely gas stations will turn into quick charge stations. Also, I could see charging stations at parking garages etc.

The money is probably in creating a company that will install them and cut a deal with the garages. Probably start small with a few spaces in a bunch of garages within the next 2 years and then expand as electric cars take off.

The question is, are there businesses out there planning to do this now?
What do the garages have in mind on their own?
What are the gas stations planning on doing?
How do you procure the charging stations and then build a billable business around it?
How much does a station cost?
What is a reasonable amount to charge for usage while you can still make a profit?
How do you get a garage to allow you to install them since it would be on their property?

Like I said, great idea but there are a lot of things to think about. I am sure there is a ton more than this list. Get a solid business plan and some seed money and I bet you could make it happen.

I would still like to see the math on how the power grid will work with 100k's electric cars being charged nightly. Of course there is a ton of questions--but certainly a brilliant idea for a young individual looking to put the effort into it. Id be a willing investor but not a lead man--Im not smart or motivated enough.

Also if you know a company that will specialize in tattoo removal or a machine that does it--let me in on it--becasue Ill take that action.

25 has to be the cut off:) I guess you could be 70 if you have the energy and health to live for 20 more years and pull that off.

For any person who is website savvy--I came up with another concept of *liveforver.com* where an individual can tell his life story with pictures words etc... like a biography of ones life that each person can tell for generations to see on the website after they pass along--along those lines.
I thought of this about 2 years ago and wondering if its viable to try to patent the idea and get to work on it? Each person has his own story to tell and why not tell that story well after you are gone? I have very solid personal funds to finance anything like this or get it off the ground myself--but I would need website and tech savvy people to help.

Nalod @ 1/9/2011 9:39 PM
came across a guy who was trying to raise capital a few years ago who was trying to raise money to start a company doing this on DVDs to give to family.

What your saying is an extension of that concept. I thought the dude was shady but the concept is solid.

OasisBU @ 1/10/2011 7:29 AM
I think facebook will eventually corner that idea BRIGGS but it's solid. I think if you beat them to it you could probably sell it to them. I have a few good ideas myself, but I need to form a group to execute on them. Web and app programming are not my expertise but I see a lot of needs out there not being fulfilled.

I think what you said here and becoming an expert in wind energy are great professional markets to enter. I would also advocate becoming an expert in the procurement, regulations, and compostion of energy efficiency materials
