Off Topic · what makes me awesome (page 1)

i am comfortable with my situation in life and accept the fact that my situation is the direct result of my actions and the actions of my family predecessors.

from this foundation i am able to ignore the potentially ruinous competition and resulting hatred of the masses who are bent on out-competing the guy next door and divert my mental energies to things i am passionate about.

i have minimal social blocks imposed on my mind from the outside. at this point of my life, age 26, i am a budding intellect bent on lifelong increase in complexity, starting point be damned.

this is the way to live, and this is the way that great things manifest.

what does this mean?

i do not understand. i come from modest if not meager financial situation. but i have no doubt in my mind that through my work and my thinking i will progress to a very comfortable life.

this is how worthwhile things are forged.

What do you do for employment?
orangeblobman @ 4/14/2011 9:39 PM
i bring you the example of my uncle, who at my age, age 26, came to america in the 1980s and without a word of english, with only a few dollars in his name, he today lives a life of great comfort and would be considered wealthy by any middle-class standard.

of course, no mogul, but did he provide? did he come from less than nothing and succeed? yes.

and i tell you i start from a spring board more gifted than he, with an engineering degree, strong command of the native language, and ambition through the roof.

I FEEL a raw energy that i have never felt before, i've floated to the top of the bubbling cactus pulp of a crockpot i've been living in for the last 20 years, man.

i cannot describe to you, friends, the energy and optimism that is going through my blood.

every obstacle, a challenge to be owned like wolf own sheep, every setback a spring board for a great leap forward into sand and then onto dirt trail barefoot.

is this real? is it a drug? it is not a drug, though psychedelic drugs have led to many breakthroughs in my psyche that have led to this point of boundless spirit.

Blob, for once, answer the freakin questions that are asked of you. What do you do for a living? Seriously, enquiring minds would like to know...
ramtour420 @ 4/15/2011 6:23 PM
What he does for living is completely irrelevant. I applaud you, my brother. If learning about the human nature and capabilities is something that truly interests you, I would like to recomment this series of books. It starts with "Anastasia- The ringing cedars of russia". Its some of the most thought provoking and invigorating reading that i've come across. I encourage anyone who thinks there is more to life than "what the person does for living" to check it out !

Anyone who is taking anything blobman says seriously needs to stop right now.

you credit me with amazing imagination. my imagination, while very good, could not reach the heights and lows of my experience, i am sad to say.
